About this deal

Martin Lewis: What the Autumn Statement means for you – including wages, benefits, pensions, ISAs, housing, national insurance and more NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Ulster Bank, which are all part of the NatWest Group, will now shut at least 172 of their bank branches in 2023 and 2024.

Like Onlythesound implies, if anyone is to assist you, we need more information. In addition to info already requested, I'd like to know: The combination of low-end stability and dynamic sensibilities leaves us with a remarkably human performance for a hi-fi system at this price. Verdict The entire point of micro hi-fi systems is to save space, and the Denon D-M41 does just that. Its footprint is a little smaller than a piece of A4 paper, so it shouldn’t have a problem fitting into your bedroom, kitchen or home office. By fitting a subwoofer output, Denon gives you a wider choice of speaker options. Instead of medium-sized or floorstanding speakers you can use an active subwoofer with small satellite speakers - the choice is yours. If the D-M41DAB – which we'd again recommend pairing with the company’s designated speakers – doesn’t quite put its predecessor to shame, it certainly puts it in the shade.Autumn Statement: Workers to pay less in national insurance – but rate cuts don't offset the freezing of personal tax thresholds The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has today (Wednesday 22 November) announced a range of tax, benefits and savings measures. We round up the key announcements and what they mean for you. We change pace with Ryan Adams’ Heartbreaker and it’s clear the energy with which the Denon rendered Hot Chip can be easily traded for gracefulness when playing the more delicate passages of this album. I have just returned to the UK and was looking to buy something like this but a lot of my music is on a hard drive, which I needed to reduce space (and price) whilst overseas. If I bought this, without the USB, I would have to find some other way of connecting a lot of my more recent music. I am thinking that I will have to look elsewhere. Pity.

Complementing that spaciousness is a hugely impressive clarity. This is a really insightful listen, full of subtle texture. As I write this, it is a little past 1.30am. That’s because I made the mistake of starting a listening session at around midnight, and the Denon D-M41 is so entertaining that I sort of just carried on.If any electrical goods that you returned may lose settings or user saved preferences during the resetting and rebooting phases in a repair sequence. Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 25th November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.) Most HiFi manufactures have a "house sound" and Denon's tends to be described as bright which some people love whereas others prefer a warmer sound for music. I've a much older version of the unit thats relegated to the Mrs' studio and is just going through a budget pair of wharfedale speakers but it sounds good for the price and age... clearly my Arcam/Kef combination in the lounge is much better but then a single speaker of that setup is several times the cost of the full denon setup. Whether you want to control any gear via wifi using apps on another device (laptop, mobile 'phone etc) or whether you prefer hifi that has all necessary inbuilt controls.

Tonal balance is spot on. You can adjust the EQ settings, but not once did I feel that was necessary. Denon has managed a sound that’s smooth without ever risking sounding too warm or rich, perhaps because the low end is never less than taut. The midrange is direct, without ever overpowering the rest of the frequency range. The treble is crisp and light, like sprinkles on a sundae. The Denon DM41 DAB comes with an impressive sounding tuner radio that's comprehensively equipped. Featuring DAB+, DAB and FM (RDS), the tuner has all your radio needs covered and, as ever, puts sound quality first. Products returned under warranty will be assessed and/or repaired within a reasonable time period. You will be provided with a repair time after the item is assessed. This time may vary due to reasons beyond our or the manufacturer's control, such as parts availability and incorrect fault advice given. The system might look simple on the outside, but things are a lot more complicated on the inside. Basically, Denon has gone over all the circuitry to eliminate as many potential sources of distortion as it could. It’s simplified circuitry, shortened signal paths and separated analogue and digital circuits. It’s suppressed distortion from the input selector, volume control and power amp – all with a view to producing the cleanest, purest sound. Do you want two completely separate music playing setups or one system that can do 'multi-room' (may not be available for your budget?).Denon’s baby Hi-Fi systems have always been renowned for putting sound first and the DM41 DAB is no different. "Simple & Straight" circuit design minimizes distortion from the input selector, electronic volume control and power amp for sound purity and very low levels of distortion. Working alongside this, Triple Noise Reduction Design (TNRD) works to preserve the signal quality for the most accurate, life-like sound. Autumn Statement: State pension confirmed to rise by 8.5% from April 2024 – while some benefits will go up by 6.7%
