After completing the main construction of the costume, it’s important to try it on and make any necessary alterations for a perfect fit. I put on the costume and assessed how it fit on my body. If any areas were too loose or too tight, I made adjustments by either taking in the seams or adding additional fabric. Now that the pattern is ready, it’s time to transfer it onto the fabric. I laid out the fabric on a flat surface and placed the pattern on top, securing it with pins. Using either fabric chalk or a fabric marker, I carefully traced the pattern onto the fabric, making sure to transfer all the details such as the leaves and ridges. Once the pattern is transferred, it’s time to cut out the fabric pieces.
