A collaboration between English wine producer Chapel Down and spirits distiller Capreolus Distillery has resulted in Aker: a new English aperitif. It features ingredients from both and combines them in a way that brings a rich, woodsy sweetness to the drink without overpowering its natural tartness. After all there are only so many margaritas you can enjoy before starting to think outside the box!

However, the liquid itself is far paler in colour than the better-known brand, more like a blush wine than a vibrant orange.
