About this deal

What I don’t like is the new flight attendant on our team’s private plane. She works for me, not the other way around. But I’ll be sure to remind her of that, and I can guarantee, by the end of the season, she’ll be begging to quit her job. But that’s how good Liz’s writing is, no matter how many times you’ve read her books, it’s different every time. Liz knows how to convey all the emotions in her books to you. There are times when you are happy, angry, laughing and sometimes you just cry because of the pain his character conveys in his stories. Evan Zanders is unfiltered, unapologetic, and too attractive for his own good. He loves his image, but I hate everything about it. Authors, if you are a member of the Goodreads Author Program, you can edit information about your own books. Find out how in this guide. Our arrangement isn't one-sided, though. I'm in a wedding coming up, on where every one of my childhood friends, including my ex-boyfriend, will be in attendance, and there's no better date than my ex's celebrity hero.

Also, this might be my all-time favorite depiction of a curvy heroine. The complexity of how that affects not only who you are as a person, but how others treat you in different ways. It was a big part of how Stevie sees herself, and seeing Zanders use his therapy techniques to break down her walls and reteach her the importance of self-esteem was the most romantic part of this story. True love builds others up and keeps them going with your support and dedication. You’ll always be my first choice. Have been since the day I met you, sweetheart.” My Review First Impressions Kai Rhodes forgot how to have fun, and I’m eager to jog his memory. But when he and his son start to feel like home, I have to remind us both that my time in Chicago ends with the summer. Stevie (Vee), my sweet girl, reminds me a lot of myself and I think the author wrote it in hopes that some (if not all) women could relate to her.

Success!

Having a fake girlfriend wasn't supposed to be messy but having Indy under my roof and in my bed is complicated, especially when she wants all the romantic parts of life that I could never give her. I’ve been a flight attendant for years. I thought I’d see it all, but when my new job lands me onboard working for the most egotistical and self-righteous diva in the NHL, I start to second guess everything. Including the promise I made to myself of never hooking up with an athlete again…no matter how annoyingly tempting he may be. I never imagined I'd be living with my best friend's brother, NBA superstar Ryan Shay. Even more unbelievable? He needs me to act as his loving girlfriend who's suddenly changed him into a friendly and approachable guy. Liz Tomforde writes sports romance novels that depict realistic and healthy relationships. Her books offer a mix of witty banter and real-life struggles. Her heroes are alpha yet vulnerable, and her heroines are strong. As a high-end pastry chef who recently won the most prestigious award in my industry, I’m desperate to prove I deserve it. But with a new title comes new pressure, and I can’t create a fresh and inspiring dessert to save my life. Stevie Shay’s been a flight attendant for years. She thought she’d seen it all, but when her new job lands her on a flight working for the most egotistical and self-righteous diva in the NHL, she starts to second guess everything. Including the promise she made to never hook up with an athlete again…no matter how annoyingly tempting he may be. There’s SO MUCH to love about this, but it was the playful banter that really won me over at the start. It’s a very long book by a new-to-me author, so I knew that it’d need to have a strong start to have any chance of holding my interest – and it definitely did. While Zanders’ personality wasn’t immediately likable, I could tell that there was something intriguing lurking underneath the surface. I was also drawn in by the instant chemistry between these two, the way Stevie kept Zanders on his toes, and how he just couldn’t seem to stop himself from getting closer. It’s an instant attraction but not instalove, which made the relationship feel more hard won and richer. They really do take their time to build up a strong emotional connection, and that was one of the best parts of the book. I was also hooked on both characters – the infuriatingly arrogant (yet immensely appealing) Zanders and the strong, fierce Stevie, who battles insecurities about her curvy figure. Watching Zanders support Stevie and make her love herself right along with him was so very fulfilling, and one of the (many) reasons why it was so easy to fall for this couple. It was a fantastic first experience with this new author, and it’s got me incredibly excited to read more from the series. I loved it! You’re not an idiot. You’re not crazy for wanting to be wanted. For wanting to be loved.” A deep swallow bobs in her throat. “And you’re not an option, Stevie, because besides you, there’s no other choice.” Overall View

Growing with not only Zanders but Stevie is insane and makes me love this book so much. The portrayal of mental health in Liz’s book is simply incredible. With all his books, I never wanted them to end. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and see Liz becoming an even more amazing author.
