About this deal

The TrueBrake GT Edition includes four main springs. Blue 15kg*, Green 23kg* (fitted), Yellow 30kg* and Red 38kg*. It is fitted with the Green 23kg Spring as standard, which is the most popular choice. Circlip pliers (not included) are required to change the main springs. TrueBrake offers different spring options with varying levels of stiffness. This allows you to tailor the brake pedal feel to your preference or match it to the characteristics of the real cars you’re simulating. For all Fanatec racing wheels, all USB handbrakes including the Fanatec ClubSport, Thrustmaster TSS and Aiologs handbrake, work with full compatibility when connected via USB on PC. Although Logitech does not make a handbrake for their racing wheels, you can use any of the three USB handbrakes – Fanatec ClubSport, Thrustmaster TSS or Aiologs handbrake with the DriveHub to make them work with Logitech G920 on Xbox One. I use my Logitech G27 on a desk. I have a box with weights behind my pedal assembly that sits between the pedal assembly and the room’s wall. I have heavy boxes placed behind my desk chair (Sparco racing seat on an office chair base) that prevent my seat from moving around when I’m braking. It is essential that both your pedal assembly and seat are completely secured if you are going to use this mod. With the TrueBrake mod, you can achieve better control over braking inputs. The progressive resistance allows for more precise modulation, making it easier to apply the desired amount of braking force consistently. Now once installed the brake is Hard and I would say if you don’t have a rigid sim frame it could be an issue as the force required is substantial. So if you have a foldable playseat the frame will definitely move under braking. To find the right handbrake for your racing rig on PC, PS4 or Xbox One, there are a lot of compatibility guides you need to go through. The handbrake should be compatible with 1. Your racing wheel, 2. Your platform (PC/PS4/Xbox) and 3. The game you wish to play. Further, you will need to figure out the handbrake add-on connection, to connect it to the wheelbase/pedals or directly via USB. In some cases, a USB adapter is also needed to make things work. Note: In a handful of games that support USB input on PS4, ie. Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, DiRT 4, WRC 7 and SLRE, you can use any USB handbrake (Fanatec ClubSport, Thrustmaster TSS or Aiologs handbrake) via USB and map it as a standalone device. About a month ago, I started racing regularly with some local AutoX friends in ACC on PC. I kept getting dusted by guys who are about the same level of driving skill as me in real life. They kept insisting that my G27 pedals were crap and I should replace them with something that has a load cell brake sensor.

Best USB Analog Handbrakes

For those without an existing shifter, Logitech does sell a newer version of the H-gate shifter without the added button: Changing to True Brake solved both issues. I am now lapping with very constant pace. I am very far from ACC record laps, (but for that no mod or gear is going to help LOL) but I am now enjoying the racing. I can be consistent, and I can try to push always a bit more to find the limit. If you do not have the budget, or the space to install a full size rig with expensive sets, this is a no brainer. A sim racing setup is incomplete without a handbrake. For all the drifting fans out there, and especially for those interested in rally games like DiRT, a handbrake is a very essential accessory. Most people assign the handbrake function to a button on the wheel, which works fine for occasional engagement. It’s only when you’re making hairpin turns, and desperately need to be perfect, you realise that you need a handbrake solution; because every split second matters. TrueBrake is a tried and tested upgrade for the for the Logitech Brake Pedal. Made from CNC machined aluminium, TrueBrake also uses top quality components. No cheap 3D printed 😆 plastic parts! Fitting TrueBrake changes the pedal to feel positive and realistic in a similar way to a load cell. It is the most appropriate and cost effective brake pedal mod available for your Logitech brake pedal.

The wheel spins provide a bit of Casino fun with a wheel of fortune or slot machine-like chance to win new cars, cosmetics, game currency and more. It seems like the game always rewards you with something. There are so many cars to play with, including my Subaru WRX STI (albeit a few years earlier edition). Although Logitech does not make a handbrake for their racing wheels, you can use any of the three USB handbrakes, Fanatec ClubSport, Thrustmaster TSS or Aiologs handbrake with the DriveHub to make them work with Logitech G29 on PS4. Handbrake for Thrustmaster T300 and T-GT on PS4 Another of my Christmas presents was the Logitech G920 racing wheel. I love Forza Horizon 5 with the Logitech G920 racing wheel. It’s a decent upgrade over my old Logitech G27 racing wheel. The game and new wheel are the perfect combination. Found and fixed an issue with the brake pedal. Now I just need more time to play between just finishing Halo and starting Death Stranding (more on that weird game in a later post). Racing in Forza Horizon 5 with my Logitech G920 Wheel Setup All the components are housed in a 6061-T6 aluminium body and cylinder, CNC machined by AXC and designed to fit perfectly inside the Logitech pedal assembly. The end result is a robust and reliable pedal where the braking control is about pedal load rather than pedal travel. Just like a brake pedal should be! Is TrueBrake a load cell?Thrustmaster TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod+ is fully compatible with Thrustmaster T300 and T-GT racing wheels on PS4. Alternatively, you can use the Fanatec or Aiologs handbrake with the help of DriveHub accesorry on PS4. The latter is a much cheaper and better option in my opinion. Handbrake for Thrustmaster T80, T150, T150 Pro on PS4 Despite that, I was always looking for braking feel, each lap would almost feel completely different. I can now confidently close the gap with the car infront of me during braking, trail brake naturally to get more rotation and corrections that require light braking are now possible. Here’s a list of the best USB analog handbrakes that we think are best to compliment your sim racing setup: Fanatec ClubSport Handbrake V1.5

Forza Horizon 5 is fun however you play, but a full wheel setup is the way to go. Although I chose the Logitech G920 for it’s Microsoft game friendly Xbox buttons, there’s a known issue in game where the buttons are not labeled correctly. Instead of ‘X’ button, for example, I get ‘Button 1’. It is still much easier to remember what named buttons on the new wheel (old one were all just red). For the Trustmaster wheels that do not support a handbrake natively, you can get the DriveHub to make any USB handbrake of the three – Fanatec ClubSport, Thrustmaster TSS or Aiologs handbrake work on Xbox One. Handbrake for Fanatec Racing Wheels on Xbox One All three handbrakes, Fanatec ClubSport, Thrustmaster TSS and Aiologs handbrake work perfectly with Logitech racing wheels on PC when connected via USB. You can use pretty much any USB handbrake with Logitech wheels on PC. Handbrake for Thrustmaster Racing Wheels on PC For all Thrustmaster racing wheels, you can use any USB handbrake like the Fanatec ClubSport, Thrustmaster TSS or Aiologs handbrake by connecting it to the USB port on PC. Handbrake for Fanatec Racing Wheels on PC Worth the wait and the cost. It’s transformed my old G27 pedals. I fitted the Truebrake, then put the old brake spring into the clutch, making it feel more like a proper car clutch; then I moved the clutch spring into the accelerator, which improved the stiffness. over the original. We consider TrueBrake an "electro-mechanical load cell". It gives similar results to a strain gauge load cell at a more affordable price. One thing to note: I was surprised by the amount of force required to detach the three wires from the G29 assembly. It could be easy to damage the wires if you are not careful as you pull them away. The instructions do state this should be done with care. A fair bit of time and practice is needed to find the best brake sensitivity level and learn the new brake pressures and braking points. I can’t compare this to a real load cell brake pedal as I’ve never used one but from what I’ve read and heard it does seem to provide a similar load related braking effect. I installed the TrueBrake mod for my Logitech G27 pedals a few days ago…and wow! This is a great mod!
