About this deal

Technically your bed heater is not being run at full power with the default configs, however I do not recommend pushing it. Since you can't control max power at runtime, your bed will run at too high of a power while heating, risking warping your bed. Upgrading the fan is a cheap and easy way to improve your prints by giving you better bridging and overhangs. In addition, it reduces the noise coming from the fans on the extruder. It’s really a win/win and an upgrade that I would highly recommend.

The hotend fan is the most significant fan on a 3D printer because it contributes directly to your 3D prints and how well they come out. Next, you can mount the fan cover on the front of the fan; it just pops into place. I recommend using the cover to prevent you from accidentally hitting the fan while working on your printer. An average performance part cooling fan would be good enough if you print slow or if you print materials that need less cooling like ABS or PC. In general, it is aways better to install a powerful part cooling fan and not use it at full, than miss cooling capacity when you need it. These macros do NOT read the chamber temperature. If your chamber is getting too hot, simply lower the fan speeds. The Bullseye directs airflow coming from the fan to focus on the required area such as a hotend or printing area. This mod is my latest iteration on improving the afterburner hotend. The naming convention is not hard: Another user mentioned that he’s new to 3D printing and this was the hardest thing they have attempted. They managed to get there in the end after some failures, but it works great. They had to manually remove the spacers for the fan duct mounts due to the fan frame was too large. After choosing to install this fan, he said he hasn’t faced any clogs or heat creep since, as the fans move air more efficiently. There are a variety of lighting alternatives for a 3D printer, but the most straightforward is to utilize a USB-powered light bar or LED strips, which you can find for a reasonable price online. Many LED strips include glue for attaching the lights to your printer’s top extrusion, but you may instead use a 3D printed light mount for your Ender 3 S1. When it comes to mounting the lights, it’s best to start at the top of your printer and work your way down.

If the new fan’s wires are not long enough, you will need to cut them and add additional wire to match the length of the fan you removed. Creality’s latest iteration of the popular Ender 3 3D printer is the Ender 3 S1. The original Ender 3 was released in 2018 and was a massive hit in the consumer 3D printing sector thanks to its low cost and ease of upgradeability. Another user said that he uses his Ender 3 consistently for more than 24 hours, but doesn’t face any issues of overheating, jamming, or heat creeps while using this fan on the hotend. The first thing you need to do is remove the existing fan duct housing and fans. To do this, you will remove the two screws holding on the housing and the four screws holding on each fan.

Installing a Bullseye fan duct on your 3D printer can bring you benefits like better interlayer adhesion, better-finished layers, and many more. You should solder the cables together and use heat shrinking tube if you can. If you cant, then make sure you get a good connection and use electric tape. The following fans have been tested but are not as good in this application. they may work OK for abs, but not PLA or high speed abs: Because the Ender 3 S1 is such a young printer, there aren’t many guides for installing OctoPrint on it yet. However, the procedure should be nearly comparable to installing the application on another Ender 3 version. The Creality Wi-Fi Box is a beautiful alternative to a Raspberry Pi board if you don’t want to spend the money on one. Another user said that he is using a Noctua fan as a replacement for a standard hot end fan. The user has set the fan speed at 60% and it works very effectively for his 3D prints. Even when the fan runs at 100% speed, it still emits less noise than the 3D printer’s stepper motors.

The first option is to disconnect the old fan from the mainboard and connected the new one. This option will take more time, but you won’t have to cut into the existing wires. Cut the wire on the new fan so that once it’s connected the length will be a little longer than the old one’s length. One user said he loves the fan duct and managed to install it even with a BLTouch auto leveling sensor installed by trimming the left side a little bit. He also mentioned that it’s not a clip on job since you need to disassemble the hotend to get one screw and nut in on the right side. He is happy as the fans fit perfectly and he cannot hear a sound even from a minor distance of 10 feet. He claims that noise reduction has made a big difference for him and he will buy more. Best PSU Fan UpgradeAlmost certainly not. I originally set it up that way because it was easier to wire in my particular case, so I took advantage of it. Triple fans with "single" control is probably the best balance of cost, complexity, and performance.

OctoPrint, a remote printer control hub, is one of the most popular upgrades for the Ender 3 and other open-source budget 3D printers. OctoPrint is commonly installed on a single-board computer, such as a Raspberry Pi, and communicates with your printer through USB. Due to the usage of a ribbon cable for printhead wiring, the Ender 3 S1 has particular benefits in cable management. When the Z-axis carriage goes up and down, this ribbon wire is susceptible to being grabbed by the printer’s frame. You can print this ribbon cable holder to keep the printhead’s ribbon cable and the X-axis endstop, and stepper motor cables out of the way. This thing usually happens because of weak blades and it can lead to other safety issues. However, he gave an A++ rating to this fan as he is using it on an Ender 3 where he prints models that take 24+ hours but the power supply remains just cool. Creality has launched several Ender 3 variants, including the Ender 3 Pro and Ender 3 V2. More pre-installed features are added with each new version, usually based on popular community upgrades for the previous version. The Ender 3 S1 is the latest printer in the series. It comes with a filament runout sensor, a direct drive extruder, an automatic bed leveling sensor, belt tensioners, and other extra features. Make sure the when you do this, you are careful when working around the wires that are going to the hoted. Those wires are to the heating element and Thermador.
