About this deal

Carefully curated to make learning a new language easy, these stories include key features that will support and consolidate your progress, including The reason that it’s good to do it like this is because when you listen to the audio by itself, you're training your ear. So, you're getting a chance to try to understand the spoken Spanish without any help.

If you are a complete beginner in Spanish, you'll probably struggle to understand it. I recommend starting with my beginner course, Spanish Uncovered, instead.) By the way, if you want to learn Spanish fast and have fun while doing it, my top recommendation is Spanish Uncoveredwhich teaches you through StoryLearning®. That is the best way to make the most of the podcasts because you're going to find that progress happens over time. It’s not going to be from one day to the next, but from one week until the next or maybe even one month to the next. I can't evaluate this book like I would another short story collection, because it has a specific purpose and limitations that keep it from being a pure piece of creative writing. I can say that I learned a lot, having read through it several times. I liked the variety of the stories. Of course I thought some were more interesting than others but they all served their purpose to help me build my ability to read Spanish, and I'll be rereading it off and on. The more exposure I get to Spanish the more I begin to understand. I also appreciated that the chapters were short but they made up a longer story. It's a lot more satisfying for me to read eight longer works than 25 really short pieces. Several of the stories had me wondering how things would work out, which makes reading more fun, too. First of all, play the podcast and listen to the audio narration by itself (without looking at the transcript). You can repeat this step as many times as you like.I understand that to make short stories for beginner you can't make them super complicated/intriguing with nuances and so on. However, I wish the author trusted in the capabilities of the readers a little bit more, not language wise but their ability to put together the story in their head, and maybe spent a little more time developing the characters as well as making the stories more complex as you got further in the book. The way to break through this plateau and become a confident and advanced Spanish speaker is to spend lots of time reading and listening to Spanish at your level. And so that's what this podcast provides!

Let's talk a little bit about how to use the podcast. These tips will help you get the most out of every episode so you can consistently improve your Spanish, every single day. Your Goal = Immersion, NOT Study
