I have yet to read a book by Ms. Geller that I did not enjoy, nor that I couldn’t finish reading within a few days because I just had to know what happened next. the boob picture. I get it. He can’t prevent random crazy women from getting his number and sending him stuff, but I was annoyed. He tries being funny saying he doesn’t know who’s boobs they belong to since it’s only boobs and not the rest😒, but I’m glad Monroe decides to leave. He freaks out and shows her his new tattoo… the 🔥 times. Umm… so… the first time they see each other, it gets ✨intense✨, and, well, he has her use his leg while they’re kissing to… 💦 lol (this is the FIRST time they see each other in person 🤣 Bahahaha they clearly don’t give any f’s). This leads Lincoln tasting Monroe a lot… the videos appeared out of thin air? While I appreciate why this was done, I’m wondering how this all happened, inside of other people’s homes 🤨. I know. It’s ✨magic✨

If Joe Goldberg (YOU) and David McCall (Mark Wahlberg in FEAR)— I saw that movie way too young and was obsessed. don’t judge me— just so happened to… raise the perfect child it would be Lincoln Daniels. — Beautifully Handsome, Perfect Boyfriend, Caring Golden Retriever Energy But Also Extremely Alpha And Under The Surface Of It All… Completely Unhinged. I also loved the found family of the team here. They were all funny and supportive and I’m so excited to read the books for the rest of the team! Especially Ryan and Tess in book two. Reverse age gap! Plus size rep! Golden retriever! Tess is my dream girl so yay.

you know what would’ve been swoony???? That Lincoln would tell her “hey. I’m clean.” Or “I’ve never not used a condom before” or “ABCD”. Just. Something 😐 Monroe, at a young age, had a hard life she was already abaonded by her mother and living in forster homes and one foster home she was already ready to leave since the father was being creepy. Not wanting to take that chance, she leaves plans to make it on her own. I did like how it slowly progressed with all 4 coming together. We weren’t thrown into a whole group when this started. Hell Mars didn’t even get to be with Rachel until after the 50% mark. All of the guy’s personalities were well done. They were three completely different people and it read like that. Honestly, this is the first book I have read by C.R Jane so I am not really familiar with her writing Style. My name is Rachel Price, and two months ago, I walked away from the perfect man. H isn’t really interested in OW but his wrong number text was the result of standing OW up. As soon as H starts texting the h the OW is absolutely not an option for H. His father later ambushed him with a dinner where OW is a guest but he shuts her down viciously. Every woman who attempts to get with him is shut down immediately.I found out about this book on Tiktok when Emily was still writing it and was hooked when she mentioned a goalie with a breeding kink (my favorite 😍). The novella was great, which only made me more excited to read it when I finally got the ARC. Unfortunately, I was severely disappointed and I'm not a fan of this book. Some of the sex scenes had me 😳 but also some were too much and I had to skip lol. And breeding kinks just are not my thing 😵‍💫 so that took a star off for me. But the first sex scene between Ilmari and Rachel had me on my knees 🧎🏻‍♀️but the group scenes were kinda meh and I sometimes had trouble knowing who was where doing what lol. A year ish later, she’s working two jobs, lives in a cheap apartment, and is attending college. Out of nowhere, she gets messaged by an unknown number… Monroe (19 once the book takes off but 10 in the prologue and 17 in her first chapter) has had a hard life. Her mom, rest in peace, used to sell herself and was an addict. Unfortunately, young Monroe witnessed a lot of things (including her death), and was eventually put in the foster system. Now that she’s about to turn 18, her foster dad is looking at her and in a 🥴 way, and she needs to leave. She gets away from that life and arrives in Dallas where she meets a sweet homeless man, Bill, who directs her to a woman’s shelter.

the texting/messaging. I thought these were cute and sometimes funny. Eventually, they graduate to phone calls. It reminded me of ✨simpler✨times were we would text and talk to people all the time… and these two do a lot of it before they finally meet in person. We don’t see it all, but it becomes routine for them ❤️ they do quite a bit of it before they come face-to-faceDidn’t feel a real connection with any of the boys. There is no love or romance. Just sex and lust. Rachel was not professional at all, just needy. I got the impression that if all the players gave her an especial attention she would have slept with them all too. I also adore Lincoln and Ari’s friendship!! They were so cute together, love me a good bromance!! I’m definitely going to read Ari’s book too! I’m literally already in love with him, I can’t wait to see him fall in love as well and I wonder if he’ll be just as crazy as Lincoln lol. Like a perfectly sane person she’s ready to bounce but our deliciously unhinged H drugs her and chains her to his bed, perfectly content to keep her captive and wait until she’s changed her mind. Maybe my dark-o-meter is broken but this didn’t come across particularly dark despite how it sounds. Or maybe I’m broken? Lincoln is obviously freaking insane but just as Monroe, I indeed fell for him. He was literally so obsessed with her since the get go which I just MISSED!! I just needed to read a book about an obsessed man after reading books about men who literally acted as if they couldn’t care less about their women.
