Omnia is the clever small oven allowing you to create oven-baked meals and casseroles when away from home, either directly on the gas flame, with the spirit stove or on the hotplate. I would have thought that an Oceanis would have a conventional oven — but I also would have thought that it had room for more propane than that, too. It’s a little more expensive, but I think this is reflected in the quality and materials it’s constructed from. Once assembled and placed on top of your hob, the stove generates heat from the top and the bottom, thus creating a sealed oven that will cook your food throughout and not just from the bottom up.Took twice as long as a regular oven (but I had no idea how hot it was, so take that with a grain of salt) but the brownies were awesome. If you are in a van or camper and lack an oven, even at times, get an oven pan, you won’ t regret it. It is a circular ring-shaped tin, that is similar looking to a bundt tin, and it sits on top of your stove hob. Thought it was a good idea to play around with things like this now while I am trying to find a van, really looking forward to trying to make bread and scones in it.

You can do just about anything that you can do in a conventional oven, as long as it will fit in the Omnia.The heat from the burner also travels directly up, through the base and body via the central air column, and is trapped by the lid.
