About this deal

Featuring everything from scissors and a bottle opener to a fine edge blade and pliers, the Gerber Dime Micro-Multi-Tool is a must-have for any keen camper. I've read a few things that said Gerber's quality wasn't what it once was but I still thought that this Dime Travel would be the same quality as my original Dime. For those wanting both a stove and light that will operate off a small gas canister, Coleman once produced what was probably the lightest lantern option.

I have owned and used this tool for over six years, and it still continues to impress, both with its durability and the high level of value I’ve gotten from it.

Pliers are an obvious necessity for a Gerber, and these itty bitty pliers actually do have quite a bit of utility. Three Points of the Compass is never likely to carry either of these tools while backpacking as there are better options.

Some other tools are also the same, these are the small scissors, small and medium screwdrivers, though the former lacks the useless short file found on the Dime, the Dime Travel having 34mm long, slightly rougher, fine and coarse files instead. Long-term, daily carry of this tool for six years included countless packages sliced open plus hundreds of small jobs, all of which perhaps put this tool to its longest endurance test, though certainly not its most grueling. The Dime mini multi-tool easily collapses down for fast transport, with tools folding into the handles. Bladeless is great in the neo communist Britain, becaue you can carry a multitool without fearing you will get a fairly hefty fine for carrying it.Other manufacturers were also struggling in the wake of these disastrous events, Knife manufacturer Wenger never recovered and were eventually taken over by rival Victorinox.
