Yeah I'd just throw it away and open a fresh one. Will only be a few days whilst I'm in there so it's not the end of the world to throw it away. with my first 11 years ago i was told to use aptamil as it has certain things in which breast milk does, but baby brain isn't letting me remember what! also its closest to breast milk and has less bad sugar than the others. She said that in her experience baby's who are feed on either of these don't suffer from as much constipation as SMA babies. we've got cow and gate premade bottles to take to hospital as our hospital DOESNT provide any bottles of formula.
x sterilised orthodontic shaped teats for optimised flow, which screw directly into the bottle. Simply unscrew cap, remove seal and add teat. I used aptamil when I started ff ds and got on with it fantastic (he was bf and mixed fed for 4 months)

Saying that I plan on trying cow n gate first this time - when I visted their stand at a baby show they said that aptamil was part of the same company and there was very little difference in the formulas (but a big dif in price!) Last time I did end up throwing milk away as once opened they last 1 hour (although 2 hours is fine!!) but like someone said, the hospital stay should be a short time so wasted milk isn't the end of the world! X I'm taking these, they sell them just off the shelf though they don't need fridge or anything so don't know why there would be a storage issue?? Ah no one can say really how long anyone's going to stay. With my first 2 I was in for 3-4 days while my friend had her youngest the day after me and was out the same day! Hoping obviously for less this time but you can't anticipate these things!

I think the storage issue would be down to if baby doesn't drink all of it within a certain amount of time (yet to refresh myself as not had a newborn for 5 years) then it has to be thrown away?
