About this deal

Despite the fact that Sakura dies at the end, and that the cause of her death was unrelated to her medical condition, the manga shows us that life is worth living, through all of it, in the way that Sakura refused to let her illness define the way she lived the rest of her days. As a result, some weird part of me seeks out all the 'tear-jerker' media I can get my hands on to see if it 'works' on me. But wait”, you might be saying at this point, “you’ve spent the whole intro tearing the premise apart, you’re saying it was just alright and yet you gave it a 7? But this is not your average sick kids in love book, and everyone should know by now I have a strange fondness for that specific genre.

A live-action film titled Let Me Eat Your Pancreas premiered in 2017, and an anime film adaptation on September 1, 2018. i mostly read it for the absurd title (which actually isn't so absurd within the context of the story). While in the hospital as a high schooler, I discovered a paperback titled "Disease Coexistence Journal.

A Japanese live-action film based on the novel, titled Let Me Eat Your Pancreas, [10] starring Takumi Kitamura and Minami Hamabe in the lead roles premiered in Japan on July 28, 2017.

He is surprised by Sakura's behaviour as it is completely different from what you would expect from someone who suffers from a disease slowly killing her. The conversations between the main characters, which comprise the majority of the book, were so soulfully composed, contributing to the wonderful character building that instilled complex views of life and human absurdities in the main characters, which was tearfully struck down in the end when everything inevitably falls apart. So similar to our main character [No Name]-Kun it made me really connect with his view on life at first when I was his age. of course, the story depends on this, as it could have been over quickly and differently had he not been completely unassertive. From the title, I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, you may think that this is a Marvel comic book about Venom. Yamauchi Sakura has been silently suffering from a pancreatic disease in school, and now exactly one person outside her family knows. The manga portrays everything in an incredibly beautiful way (I mean this literally; the art was amazing), and effectively appeals to your sense of humanity with how it deals with themes of morality, love, and loss. The manga focuses on their differences of these 2 very different people by showing a lot of their interactions: a boy who has been isolated from society and has decided to submerge himself into the world of novels instead, and a girl who has had numerous friends and has spent happy memories with them throughout her life, but without showing her secret. This manga was extremely reassuring and heartwarming, because despite all the melancholy it makes you go through to reach the end, ultimately, it's the masterpiece of a story of a boy and a girl, connected in the most unexpected way, and all that follows.
