This is reminiscent of the Henry Ford quote, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.” Murphy, Joseph (2019). Stay Young Forever. New York: G & D Media. ISBN 978-1-7225-2238-4. OCLC 1100021244. That being said, the overall delivery of the book was a bit off. It's heavily religious, with plenty of references to God and bible verses. The chapter on marriage was a bit of a tough one for me because it's all about praying with your husband/wife and there's zero consideration of atypical unions. That bothered me a lot, particularly with our country set to vote to give homosexuals the same marriage rights as heterosexuals. It's pretty important to me that their rights be recognised by society, so this chapter was a bit of salt in the wound.

Your subconscious speaks to you in intuitions, impulses, hunches, intimations, urges, and ideas, and it is always telling you to rise, transcend, grow, advance, adventure, and move forward to greater heights.” I think the idea is that we can plant seeds and nurture them, but we shouldn’t be constantly uncovering the soil to see how our seeds are doing. We must keep pulling the weeds and watering the seed, and while that may require a daily investment, it shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes. 6. What Goes In Your Mind Determines Your World The awareness of intention, beliefs, what we say and feel toward ourselves and others is of the greatest importance and is often the difference between success and failure. I read this book and it was only the beginning. Many of Dr. Murphy's books have been compiled posthumously through Hay House and they are all very helpful and wise in the teachings, including subjects such as being successful and prosperous.I love the concept of using your imagination to change your life. It makes a lot of sense to me and appeals to the creative me. One of my favourite literature quotes is, 'I like them to talk nonsense. That is man's one privilege over all creation.' I love that there is no limit to what our minds can do. And to harness that power to alter one's life for the better is a truly inspiring idea. Murphy, Joseph (2019). Why Did This Happen to Me?. The amazing laws of cosmic mind power (Rev. & expandeded.). Paramus, NJ: Reward Books. ISBN 0-7352-0220-6. OCLC 45835546.

The power of your subconscious mind, as is clear from the title, dwells on the importance of one's consciousness and its power to heal, create and make one's life better. The power of positive affirmations and optimal thinking, and how it can work wonders in practical life where one might find themselves going through hard times on more occasions than once. When you are seeking an answer to a problem, your subconscious will respond, but it expects you to come to a decision and to a true judgment in your conscious mind.” The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, one of the most beloved and bestselling inspirational guides of all time, shows how changing your thought patterns can produce dramatic improvements in your life. Using practical, easy-to-understand techniques and real-world case studies, Dr. Joseph Murphy reveals the vast influences of the subconscious mind on all aspects of existence-money, relationships, jobs, happiness-and how you can apply and direct its power to achieve your goals and dreams. These writings are reminiscent again, of the abundance and scarcity mindset, which is often referenced in manifesting circles. Forsuccess, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side-effect of one’s personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one’s surrender to a person other than oneself.”

Success!

In accordance with many other spiritual teachings, Murphy infers that the accumulation of wealth should be a by-product of other, more nurturing and fundamental activities. The Three Steps to Success Love Your Work I am aware that subconsciousness is a very powerful tool, and can influence our lives on so many levels. But this book, which I didn't dare to shelve as a non-fiction reading, can do much harm. Generally, while reading this book, I couldn't help but think of 'History of Wolves' by Emily Fridlund. You can summarize the content with 'If you got what you desired, you grasped the idea correct. If not, you didn't try hard enough. You are at fault here for not giving in all your might to the power of subconscious mind / god / Cthulhu / whatever'.

Similar to the practice of mindfulness meditation and examining our thoughts and beliefs as impartial observers, Murphy cautions against becoming over-identified with the ego and the concept of self. PDF / EPUB File Name: The_Power_of_Your_Subconscious_Mind_-_Joseph_Murphy.pdf, The_Power_of_Your_Subconscious_Mind_-_Joseph_Murphy.epub If you say, “I,” to all negative thoughts, you are identifying yourself with them, and you cannot separate internally from them.” The magnetized] man will not get very far in life because, if he is afraid to go forward, he will simply stay where he is. Become a magnetized man and discover the master secret of the ages.” There's also too much reference to the Bible and Biblical quotes for my liking. No offence to those who believe in God but some of things just don't set well with me. Though I do agree with some of the scientific concepts and methods mentioned. How about... no. I am sorry Mr. Murphy, but no poetry about some mighty universe wannabe laws can justify greed, whims and whines. The books present various examples of people from different walks of life, who have tapped into the power of the subconscious and found themselves a better life, some who have even cured themselves of diseases. I do honestly believe that what we think, we can become. I've always believed that whatever I truly need, the universe will provide, and it's interesting to think that my believing that has made it so. I liked the way the analogies in this book made me see that subconscious mind from a different perspective. I just enjoyed the process of thinking about all the ways I could harness my own subconscious mind to alter my life for the better, and become all the things I want to be.
