This book literally kept me guessing until the very end. She ends up having a brother and the one she doesn’t choose gets a book of her own next. Oh Selena, that epilogue!!!!! Eeeekkkkk. I can’t wait for the next book! But their quest and emotional growth, connection, ensnarement and final entaglement is all so worth it, so felt and appreaciated, you couldn't wish for more.

I LOVED Lennox right from book 1, and I was rooting for him. Don't get me wrong I love Maddox as well but I always knew Lennox was more than a psycho. Underneath it all he just wanted to be seen and chosen first. Lennox + Scarlett, it's the good paring for sure.

Selena is pure magic. Her writing is amazing; she can make you feel so many emotions, and you know you should HATE a certain character, but she ends up making you love them, and she has twists and turns like no other writer I know. Selena writes such multi-faceted characters and knows how to develop them so well that as the story progresses, what initially seems to be an irredeemable character becomes someone you can easily fall in love with.

There were so many moments that I teared up and cried which honestly thank you cause I know a book is good when I experience a shit ton of feeling and I know for a fact I should never expect nothing less from Ms. Selena...She can write my life any day. Thank you so much for allowing me to read this masterpiece!

It was an enjoyable read for the most part and there were moments that I could not put the book down but after about the 60% mark, once Lennox and Scarlett ferried over to the island to make the trade with a rival gang, it was CHAOS (not in a good way). There are no other way to explain it other than a 'complete frenzy of triggers'. If felt like the author was trying to fit every trigger action in that scene. one day she's told to clean the pool so that her stepfather could use it, little did she know this would lead to her meeting her next-door neighbors.

They are twin brothers, each one more dangerous than the other, each one more irresistible. Loyal only to their crew, Murder of Crows, they refuse to let a stranger like me get too close. this isn't okay its romanticizing r@pe and im seriously scared how can people like maddox. this is beyond messed up. They take me in, but I soon realize these men are no saviors. They’re ruthless kings in a community governed by gang law, where depravity reigns and favors are repaid in blood. I should have seen the omen and run, but now it’s too late. I’m in their debt. It was a wee bit messy, errors here and there, open ended scenes which didn't go anywhere, making it feel rushed, so really needed to be edited a bit more.

The Rain King is a *dark romance* meant for 18+ readers who have *NO TRIGGERS.* It is a complete standalone. Book 2 is about a new couple. These two are broken, and that's why they worked so well together. I know that Scarlet was still hung up on Maddox, but I don't think she could have found a better match than Lennox. They were soulmates. They’re twin brothers, each one more dangerous than the other, each more irresistible. Loyal only to their crew, the Murder of Crows, they refuse to let an outsider like me get too close. I still read them. I’m not sure if it’s just curiosity as it’s darker than most and I always wonder where she’s going with the stories and characters that aren’t all good or all bad. With actions that are not always bad, but that mostly end in a despicable way. It’s confusing how to animate those characters. I mean the entire ending was laughable. Neither of them had any redeeming qualities and quite frankly she was sooo dumb she deserved him.

These characters wholly enraptured me. I wanted to give Scarlett a good shake so she could wake up to see she was worth much more. And Lennox—should I hate him, fear him, or think he’s hot? That’s the beauty of Selena’s writing, and readers will question his intentions until they don’t.

When I tell you everything about this book was perfect. I thought that I was in love with Maddox and his madness but nothing could have prepared me for Lennox. Like his and Scarlett's story was the epitomie of a dark toxic lovely time. It was raw and unfilltered and I loved every moment of it. I should have seen the omen and run away, but by the time I realize that, it’s already too late. My heart belongs to both men, but only one can have me. Suddenly I am caught between them in a fight that can only end in tragedy.
