Other Sony mirrorless bodes offer slowish AF-S at best with Canon EF and EF-S lenses making them too slow for sports action – but they work fine for portraits and landscape still photography.

Pure phase-detection autofocus support on A9, A7RIV, A7RIII, A7III, A7RII, A7II, A6600, A6500, A6400, A6300 and A6100. AF may not work if the maximum aperture of the lens plus any EF Extender or other teleconverter attached is smaller than f/8. Lenses not listed above have not been tested but will most likely work on A9, A7RIV, A7III, A7RIII, A7RII, A7, A6600 A6500, A6400, A6300 and A6100 using phase detection autofocus. They may or may not autofocus satisfactorily on other cameras using contrast-detection autofocus. It is not known if the maximum AF-C drive speed of 10fps with A7III & A7RIV can be achieved or not.

Autofocus is excellent on a 7iii body, so I didn't see any significant difference between using the adapter and the native lens. Eyefocus works very well even in low light conditions.
