Combine all ingredients in a shaker, shake well and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a toast triangle or orange wheel. Use a basic, cheap gin. The gooseberries will do the flavouring work, with the gin acting as a flavour carrier. Therefore, do feel free to play with the addition or quantity of sugar, based on the sharpness or natural sweetness of your gooseberries, and to suit your own taste preferences!
