Bar Keepers friend comes with a variety of uses and you can use it to clean many more surfaces than just your natural stone countertops. If it is routine lighter-duty cleaning, then the liquid Soft Cleanser is usually more than sufficient. You can use Bar Keepers Friend Power Cream on vertical surfaces, making it ideal for removing limescale stains in hard-to-reach places. BKF requires thorough rinsing, which is difficult in non-drained, enclosed spaces such as an oven or microwave interior – so it is not recommended. Bar Keepers friend is one of the few cleaners that you can use on quartz surfaces without worrying about discoloration.

The Soft Cleanser is in effect “pre-diluted” or “ready-to-use” for a variety of (but not all) tasks, especially the more routine cleaning tasks.For surfaces such as plastic or porcelain, contact for longer than a minute may be necessary, but test in an inconspicuous area first. We live in a 50+ year old building in Los Angeles, with original fixtures that had clearly grown tarnished over time. I had terrible terrible sulfur stains all over my bathtub, and this product made it come off like water!

It is specially formulated with oxalic acid-based stain remover, perfect for lifting even the toughest stains.
