I have bought the Omnibus edition with the three original “Star Wars” movie novelizations but I’ve chosen this edition to make a better focused review of each single book. That striking Vader line art would be used to good effect when the three novels were collected as a Del Rey trade, this time renamed the Star Wars Trilogy. An interesting thing is that the book points out that lightsabers cauterize wounds, despite that not happening in the original movie, where Obi-Wan chops off an arm in the cantina and blood is spilled everywhere. In some instances this book is actually more consistent with the rest of the Star Wars universe than the film is.
