The De'Longhi Tascuigo AriaDry DEX216F is the largest model in the range and able to extract 16L of water from the air per day, and although the tank capacity isn't the largest, at 2.1L it still offers adequate capacity. This multi-purpose appliance also has an air purifier function with a double filtration system that can remove dust and other allergens from the air, plus a dedicated Laundry Drying function. Things are a bit more complicated than this though. While a dehumidifier is sold with a power rating, that doesn’t mean it uses this power all the time. The Pro Breeze 20L Premium Dehumidifier doesn’t have an air purifier function like the MeacoDry Arete One it does, but it does have an active carbon filter which is designed to trap dust and other airborne pollutants. We often get asked how much it costs to run a dehumidifier. It’s an important topic, as rising energy bills have forced everyone in the UK to be more aware of how much their appliances cost to run. There are a couple of complaints, similar to mine, regarding its noise levels, stating that it’s not quiet even when on its lowest fan setting, and certainly not in night mode, or on a high fan speed setting. If you don’t want to think too hard about your usage, a device with an auto setting will be more efficient as it will only come on when the humidity levels go above your RH setting, saving you from wasting energy. How much does a dehumidifier cost to run? Strong dehumidifying mode will set the target humidity at a very low 30%. (Usually between 40-60% humidity is recommended). Although a word of warning; in this mode the fans run at high speed and cannot be adjusted, so this is an extremely noisy setting. However, I don't think you'd really need to operate it in Strong mode in normal circurmstances within the home.
