Her parents divorced when she was 11, after which Jamison lived with her mother.[1] I gave this book two stars because it does do a decent job of describing the personality of a narcissist and the dynamics found within a narcissistic/codependent relationship. However, it is a very poorly written book – a lot of times I found myself going, huh? It was painful to read about the subject matter but sadly it was also painful to read in general because it was written by, more than likely, someone who doesn’t write professionally and I highly doubt the author used an editor which is too bad because it could’ve been a great book.
