About this deal

Very easy to read, toll motorways are clearly marked, motorway service station names are included and you can tell whether they are the quiet aire type or the larger ones with full facilities (if that's important to you).

Late or missing payments may have serious consequences for you and cause you serious money problems. The plastic-coated pages not only make the atlas rain and weather resistant, but it means you can easily trace your route on the pages either with a permanent or dry erase marker. I get new 300 series map of a region about every 4-5 years because they build new roads (mainly freeways). Mainly using the raid atlas as a way of finding places to visit on decent scale rather than my iPhone, I find it easier to plan routes, I also have an old sat nav which give me directions. This glove-box size, compact A5 atlas with lie-flat binding is perfect for travelling across France and the surrounding countries. There are just so many roads in France I've used an atlas style map (Collins I think) for main roads / motorways to get me to the destination area and then used a detailed local map. There's an IGN map of the extensive network of french canals - towpaths are great for cycling - no traffic and many surfaced with tarmac.

The Michelin has more detail, indicates the width of roads, and shows which roads are scenic and which places are of tourist interest. We have to manage with the Michelin version which just has toll booths marked as dots, but you still don't know between which dots the charges apply ? You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Just out of interest, one of the most useful atlasses i still use is a Michelin French Autoroutes atlas which they unfortunately stopped publishing a few years ago. Smart and practical, this atlas includes tourist sights, leisure facilities and scenic routes recommended in the famous Michelin Green Guide as well as 58 city plans plus 42 with QR codes for easy access to your smartphone for online mapping and tourist information!a road map of Europe (1/3 500 000 scale), and indications of danger zones (load limits and pass heights, dangerous routes, etc. Couple of years ago I picked up a very good atlas of Spain/Portugal from a Spanish Lidl, far better than the Michelin map. I have trouble reading maps on this scale (Michelin has 500 series individual maps and older 200 series maps I used till the 300 series became available about 10 years ago). li class="ml-20">* Excludes some Online Exclusive lines - Items sent directly from the supplier (some Online Exclusive lines and Car Parts) can take up to 10 working days.
