Butylene Glycol is a solvent that allows active ingredients from being clumpy and staying dissolved - perfect for clump-free lashes! Over all, I did like CODE VLM its a great mascara although I actually preferred this on its on to applying it over the CODE FFL as I found it gave me too much volume, where as I prefer lots of length and minimal volume when my lashes are quite dense anyway. I would recommend this if you do like some volume or have lashes that are a bit sparse! The CODE FFL ‘Pre-Mascara Lash Plumper’ is a fibre-based, luscious, creamy light brown formula that builds up each individual lash for full-on volume and length… Being a tinted light brown shade it dries to a darker shade than my natural dark blonde lashes. Instantly there is length and definition before I apply anything else over it. What I’ve loved about this product is that it has worked under any mascara I’ve tried it with. When I first got it I wasn’t trying it with the CODE VLM. However, since having that I’ve been working these 2 bad boys together and I’ve been really impressed! I can definitely see a difference when wearing this product and I love the results it gives me. Caprylyl Glycol: Helps create a conditioning effect for keeping lashes soft and healthy! Caprylyl glycol is an alcohol that comes from a fatty acid; however, it's a very hydrating ingredient despite being alcohol. Also, as a humectant (that pulls water into the skin), it helps to keep skin moisturised.They’ll often contain more ‘active’ ingredients, such as peptides and hyaluronic acid, and many can also be used on the brows for even more benefits. Generally speaking, eyelash primers are designed to be applied underneath mascara and along the lashes from root to tip. Eyelash serums are designed to be applied along the lash line so they can help support healthy lash growth. My lashes looked as good 7 hours later as they did when I first applied this mascara and there was not a panda eye in sight! So, its long wearing which I loved too. I also had no reaction to this product either.
