Using the Free2 Classic wireless earbuds for making or receiving a phone call is easy. Tapping either earbud two times will answer an incoming call and automatically pause your music at the same time. The audio quality is acceptable, capable of transmitting clear voice without any noticeable distortion. We tested calls in three seperate instances and each time we had no complaints in regards to the audio quality or wireless transmission. Listening to your favorite music with the Free2 Classic is quite simple. Once paired, simply choose your favorite tunes and begin the listening experience. They utilize Bluetooth 5.1 with an advanced audio codec (AAC) and sub-band coding (SBS). With this, their frequency response range is 20Hz to 20 kHz. Ultimately, this means good audio quality without requiring a lot of processing power. That said, the audio profile is setup to deliver favorable audio quality without lag or distortion.

The SoundPEATS Free2 Classic are tightly sealed up from dirt and water ingress. In fact, they’re given an IPX8 waterproof rating. This means they can withstand high pressure water jets, and you can submerge them in water to 1 meter depth. In reality, this means you can take them outside in any kind of weather, or even wear them while you shower or swim. In both instances, you need not worry about their integrity; they’ve been rigorously designed for water resistance. Take the earbud out of the case and press and hold the MFB for 1.5s to power them on manually. You will need to wear an earbud to get the tone“ Power on”. The Free2 Classic earbuds also have the feature allowing you to take or reject phone calls while listening to your music. When a call comes in you can answer it by tapping the earbud twice to answer an incoming call and this will pause the music to allow you to take the call. SoundPEATS are obviously not first timers at creating earbuds, and it shows. The units themselves are responsive to touch controls without being over-responsive when moving them about. This is a real bugbear of mine in other units! When you fit the buds in your ears they fit quite well and do not protrude too much which is a good thing. I have found them nice and comfortable to wear even for long periods of use.

In my mind, the charging port alone is worth a couple of bonus points to be honest. Good work SoundPEATS, the Free2 Classic is a notch above the rest in this regard. I can finally throw some old cables away and use the same one for everything! Sounds

Free2 Classic earbuds also have touch controls like Mini Pro earbuds. These controls are easy to use, except for the Free2 Classic earbuds there are no ANC or gaming modes.
