About this deal

The skin tint is in a handy little tube. The product itself has no or minimal detectable fragrance and I experimented with this in place of moisturiser, after moisturiser and after sunscreen. Knowing the limitation of a skin tint with my skin, I had realistic expectations. This is a lovely product to wear around the house for the 'no makeup' days although I would apply it after sunscreen.

It’s quite deep for it being the lightest shade, and I can’t use it alone straight from the tube, unless I mix in some lightening drops beforehand (I use the Revolution Pro Foundation Drops). I enjoyed their Wake Me Up Foundation, Match Perfection Foundation and Lasting Finish Foundation, so I was intrigued to see how the new Rimmel Kind & Free Moisturising Skin Tint Foundation would compare to their other complexion products. Beauty Crew sent Rimmel London Kind & Free™ Moisturising Skin Tint to a panel of women aged 18 and older with a penchant for all types of base products and an affinity for clean beauty. The lowdown You’ve gotta give Rimmel credit for creating a vegan and ‘clean’ foundation, but for me, it’s not a product I’ll continue using. I’m fine with light coverage bases, but you don’t want them to fade within an hour or two, like the Rimmel Kind & Free Moisturising Skin Tint Foundation does. The skin tint is a beautifully soft and silky texture and feels light on the skin. I applied with fingers and found that it provided a lovely 'my skin but better' finish. Coverage is not high, as you would expect from a skin tint although I did note that it's called a skin tint foundation on the tube which is a bit of a stretch. If you had perfect skin...possibly true.

How hydrating the formula was: Our reviewers loved the hydrating benefits of the tinted moisturiser formula, with many saying they used the skin tint in lieu of moisturiser some days when they wanted a lighter routine.

I knew Rose Ivory was going to be too deep for me from the swatches online, but as it’s a ‘skin tint’ rather than a straight-up foundation, so I thought the shade might be a little more forgiving. While we’ll admit we’re partial to a full coverage and full face beat for a night out, when it comes to everyday makeup (or when we’re feeling a bit lazy) there’s nothing we love more than a tinted moisturiser. I think the Rimmel Kind & Free Moisturising Skin Tint Foundation has decent-ish coverage for a product marketed as being a skin tint. It’s more akin to a light to medium coverage foundation than a skin tint. I’ve got dry skin, with dry patches, but somehow this foundation manages to look oily and super shiny on my skin within a couple of hours, which never happens for me, so I can’t imagine it sitting nicely on oily skin. The youthful glow it gave skin: Thanks to the inclusion of glow-enhancing skin care ingredients (antioxidants vitamin E and B5, and aloe vera) our members noted an increase in radiance after application. When worn on it's own, it provides subtle coverage and skin perfecting. On my combination skin the longevity of the skin tint wasn't optimal, maybe only lasting a couple of hours and slightly longer if I set with powder. However I did find that it worked well as skin perfecting base for my foundation. Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication. There are a total of twelve shades to choose from, and the lightest shade on offer is 10 Rose Ivory. Whereas the deepest shade is Deep Chocolate. The Rimmel Kind & Free Moisturising Skin Tint Foundation in Rose Ivory is a lot more warm toned than I’d anticipated, as Rimmel shades with ‘rose’ in the name definitely tend to lean on the cool side. Here’s what our panel of Review Crew® testers had to say about this natural-finish skin tint. The panel

To preface my experience with the Rimmel London Kind & Free Moisturising Skin Tint, my skin is combination with some pigmentation. The Rimmel Kind & Free Moisturising Skin Tint Foundation launched towards the end of 2021, and I knew I had to try it, as I’ve really enjoyed a lot of the Rimmel foundations. Recently, I’ve been favouring lighter coverage foundations, but I’m sadly not a fan of this particular product. I’m rarely disappointed by Rimmel foundations, but this one doesn’t sit nicely on my skin.

Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS. I also don’t like how it sits on my skin, as it ends up looking patchy, and as if I’ve not blended it in properly, regardless of whether I’ve applied it with my fingertips, a BeautyBlender or makeup brush. This skin tint it very light weight and has light coverage. I love to use this over the top of my sunscreen in the mornings to look more put together. For reference, I have medium skintone with golden/peachy undertones, usually a NC30 - NC35 so I find that Golden Beige is a really great match for my skintone. Ever since the COVID pandemic started, I've slowly moved away from very full coverage foundations to more sheer and natural foundations.
