Topping the list of the best lever-action nerf guns is the foam-flinging weapon of nightmares, the Zombie Strike Scravenger. The strange name of this blaster is thought to have come from the combination of the words “ scavenger” and “ scrap.”

If you want a lever action blaster with a large ammo capacity that will spray lines of foam in your future nerf battles, look no further than the Nerf Elite 2.0 Flipshots Flip-32. That’s a mouthful. The Slingfire comes with a 6-round magazine and six green Nerf elite darts but can be upgraded using any N-Strike Elite magazine—including a 25-round drum! Booyah!Lever-action blasters with their levers on the bottom of the grip often do not feature any slam fire capabilities since the user would not be able to hold down the trigger while priming the blaster. The Scravenger is the exception to this, avoiding this issue by adding a separate slam fire selector switch. The SLAB is another exception; its trigger moves with the lever, allowing it to be held down while priming to enable slam fire. The Flipshot also has a two-stage trigger. A half-pull shoots a single shot, and a full-pull will shoot the second dart. So you can choose to shoot one dart at a time or both!

On some models, the jam door may be loose and may open unintentionally. This can be fixed by wedging a small piece of paper behind the hinge of the door or tightening the screws around the jam door. The term is used interchangeably sometimes by Hasbro as well; the "Elite Repaint" Longshot CS-6's description calls its front blaster slide-action rather than pump-action. It is the one of three Nerf blasters to be able to fully function with the jam door open, the others being the Revonix360 and the CrossBolt. The Scravenger includes 26 Zombie Strike Darts (green elite darts) and two 12-round magazines. The magazines are spring-fed, which tend to feed better than many of the new hopper-fed nerf guns. It also has a tactical light attachment and two tactical rails: one below the muzzle and another on the handle. The pre-production model features a green jam door, rather than the orange one seen on the final product.

Next was 3.75" of brass. This caused about the same range as the 5" copper, but slightly less accurate and the same jamming issue.

This ROBLOX-themed Nerf gun is inspired by the Roblox game Adopt Me! and launches darts at an average of 70 FPS. The blaster includes six shells, 20 darts (ten suction darts and ten standard darts), eye protection glasses, and white gloves.

Final Thoughts

This unique-looking blaster has a sawed-off shotgun and zombie theme, and the finer details of its design really sell that experience. As for the performance, the Nerf Slingfire is advertised to reach 75 feet, but during testing, it falls short of that number and hits an average of 65 feet. It averages about 70 FPS, which is in the upper range of dart-type nerf guns.

The SlingFire was the second Nerf blaster to feature a lever-action mechanism for priming, the first being the Multishot Madness Diatron.The Zombie Strike Scravenger has a toggle on the side of the blaster that enables and disables slam fire. Slam-fire is a rapid-fire feature that allows you to hold down the trigger and fire a round every time the gun is primed. It’s a fun way to throw a ton of foam around your next nerf game. Firstly, it’s made pretty flimsy, and I’m sure the priming handle will be the first thing to break for many. Secondly, it has weird ergonomics to it. The handle is massive, even for someone with large hands like myself—which can also make using the lever-action awkward since it is so far away from the trigger. It uses an eight-dart non-removable rolling drum and comes with eight orange Nerf Elite darts.
