About this deal

If your CO alarm is beeping once, twice or three times regularly, you may need to replace your alarm batteries, or you could be experiencing exposure to low levels of CO. The guide below will help to identify the cause of beeping. With low level CO monitoring, a pre-alarm warning to open windows helps reduce the risk of CO poisoning and prevents build-up of dangerous CO levels. If a room is not ventilated and ppm levels continue to increase, the alarm will activate.

If your CO alarm is flashing a red LED light every 20 seconds, it has been activated recently. This is referred to as ‘alarm memory’, find out more about what this feature means here. Why does my FireAngel CO alarm not sound when I press the test button? With a multi-functional LCD digital display and array of exclusive features such as Alarm Memory, Ventilate Instruction, Quiet Self Test and Environmental Sensing, the FA3322X4 offers the highest level of CO detection for your home. Battery powered carbon monoxide alarms can typically be installed wall-mounted or left free-standing on flat, level surface.Carbon monoxide is a highly poisonous gas, caused by fuel not burning properly. It cannot be seen, smelt or tasted by the human senses and is only detectable through a CO alarm. Also note that carbon monoxide has been proven to spread into neighbouring properties through open windows and, in semi-detached or terrace houses, through loft spaces. If your property has an attached garage with a connecting door through to the house, it is recommended to fit a CO alarm inside the house leading from that doorway. Once your CO alarm is activated, this icon or ‘heartbeat’ will continue to flash a green LED in power mode. If a battery fault or warning has been silenced for a period of 8 hours and times out during night time, the silence period will automatically be extended once for a further 8 hours (night silence will increase the counter by 1 for sleep easy). Please note, this feature is not available with the FA3820 or FA3313 alarms. Understanding FA3322 digital display indicators The alarm’s high sensitivity mode will be enabled if the alarm predicts CO levels will increase to or above 180ppm for fast reaction to rising CO levels.

Combined smoke & CO alarms or mains-powered CO alarms are typically installed on the ceiling and should be at least 30cm away from any wall, light fitting, or other obstruction. The alarm comes with 2 X AA batteries that can be replaced once the low battery chirp can be heard. With our sleep easy function, you can silence low battery chirps for 8 hours, up to 10 times. This feature not only allows you to enjoy a silent night’s sleep, but gives you vital time to take action and replace your batteries. However, if your CO alarm is beeping, flashing red or not responding during a test, follow our troubleshooting guide to decipher the cause. This guide applies to FireAngel FA3313 and FA3820 alarms. Why is my FireAngel CO alarm going off? Once your CO alarm is activated and tested, choose to install the alarm by mounting on a wall or free standing on a shelf. Your alarm should be placed 1-3 metres away from any fuel burning appliance in your home, in living rooms or bedrooms.Find out more about the FA3820X4 CO Alarm.
