I have started viewing the most realistic potential spaces, each one so far ‘nearly’ possible, each with its own challenges - financial, size, location. So many things to take into consideration. I want to do this move one time, it has to be right. Suddenly I’m having to make strategic decisions about business growth and direction condensed into blips of time. Things that I had planned in months and years ahead suddenly need to be front and centre to guide our next move. If YOU are a buyer - come find me and Dr Zigs at the Messe in Hall 3 B45 (or I'll be walking London) - my calendar is getting busy but I do have spaces so please get in touch. And for 2023, the year ahead we are planning big, and I can’t wait to share this new journey with you, and I’m excited for all of you to be a part of it too - but for now, a few beautiful Bubbly memories - the best of times, the best of 2022.
The best bit of our work at Dr Zigs is sharing our love for Bubbles with all of you. Creating toys to spread laughter and joy, and with our Bubbles doing our best to make the world a better place. You can have so much fun with bubbles at home, but you really need a good bubble mixture like Dr Zigs. If you wet your hands, or a straw, in the bubble mixture, the bubbles WON’T BURST when they are touched by the wet things! So you can catch bubbles, wobble them about, you can use a wet straw to blow a bubble INSIDE a bubble! And you can blow bubbles just using your hands! I am going to do a video to show you how to do it.We love Dr Zigs Extraordinary Bubbles! They sell everything you could want to play with bubbles at home or in the park. They also sell professional bubble things for professional bubbleologists (like my mom!)
Since I’ve written this the terrible earthquake in Turkey and Syria has hit. For years we have worked in the camps in Syria, and in Turkey we have wonderful colleagues. Our heart goes out to those affected in both countries. We will be reaching out and supporting as we can. She added: “That’s why we called the business Dr Zigs after him, he’s the boss really and he’s only 11!”We are facing an unprecedented time in our lives. During these difficult moments we have decided to take action as a small business. From today: ***Bubbles will still continue to be shipped to you, these are great to entertain kids if you are self-isolating. ***We will post more tips about this in the next few days. ***All our staff will be working from home with one person working on dispatch. ***We have instilled a new cleaning protocol in production and dispatch so you can be sure the bubbles are virus free.***Please, stay safe, practice social distancing, support your local NHS and neighbours in need. We will be here to answer any questions and provide support for you and your family should you need. It’s about the love of our end user, the child, the children, who will squeal with laughter and delight, jump to pop, or just stare in wonder. It’s about the parents, who take a moment to breathe. It’s about those who use our Bubbles for giggling parties, for weddings and that most special of days, for those caring and using the Bubbles for respite, for a moment of goodness in a world of dementia, it’s about those using the Bubbles at funerals.. It’s especially about the kids in refugee camps, who for a few moments, with the Bubbles can have a moment to just be kids. After a pleasant stroll from a nearby hotel, a late breakfast was enjoyed here on this summer day. This consisted of a nice freshly brewed cup of coffee and a toasted Panini.
I am SO looking forward to meeting up with ALL of you wonderful friends and toy industry peeps over the next couple of weeks! Grateful to every single person who has played their part to make Dr Zigs what it is today. From a team of 40 people at the height of our event business, to a core of 5 women, and now to three, with a support network of outsourcing partners that is bigger than ever. Dr Zigs’ bubble factory is based in Bangor and it proudly manufactures all of its products in Wales and uses naturally sourced materials wherever possible. However, Europe is also a big part of the business, so Paola has been busy preparing for the UK transition.

And after the years we’ve had it’s been like coming home.
