The dollhouse includes five play people, plus 20 pieces of furniture such as lamps, a bed, a table and chairs, a refrigerator, an oven, a TV center, a couch, a tub, a toilet, and more. There’s even a wooden pet dog plus food bowls. There are two sets of stairs in the house, so kids can move figures and furniture from floor to floor realistically, and a working front door helps mimic a real-life house as well. The house stands almost 2 feet tall, making it a great size for a toddler and small children to play while learning hand-eye coordination and fine-motor skills, which helpds justify the high price tag. It’s December 23rd…this was the main gift for my daughter for Christmas. What am I going to do??? I’ve assembled many pieces of furniture in my life with no problems…I assumed a child’s dollhouse wouldn’t bring me to tears. Ruined Christmas I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I’m writing this review as I’ve spent the last hour and a half trying to assemble it and I’m so frustrated. The instructions are awful. You can’t tell which way the pieces go as the directions don’t indicate which sides go up, etc. I had to resort to a YouTube video for help and still ended up putting on the the floors on the wrong way. When I went to fix my mistake, the pieces I had assembled pulled away from the particle board and now I can’t reattach them because the holes have torn off. One of Evie’s favourite features is the working elevator, which allows your to take your dolls to the second floor, or the wooden garage doors that open and close to reveal a space large enough to store things like your Barbie car in the garage! The fully assembled dolls house comes to about four and a half feet tall. The exact measurements 132.1cm x 35.5 cm x 135.9cm – It’s huge!

The dolls house comes with wall fixings and I would strongly advise you to not waste any time in fixing it to the wall. Because the house is tall, Evie has tried on a few occasions to pull herself a little higher to see the attic, which of course means that she places all her weight at the top.
I bought the Kidkraft Majestic Mansion dollhouse for Evie a year ago now and it’s been a mainstay of our playroom ever since. It’s perfect for dolls up to 12 inches, like Barbies or equivalent fashion dolls. It has a straightforward assembly process and is big enough for multiple kids to play at the same time when they’ve got friends over. I really like how the panels are already pre-covered with nice little prints, which clearly and easily signify what each room is surprised to be – Evie’s favourite has to be the living room for sure!Still not sure? Maybe have to make a trip to home depot or hire a contractor to get this finished. For me, what stands out on the Majestic Mansion is the great level of attention they’ve paid to the little details throughout the house. To put it into perspective, Evie needs a step to be able to see into the baby doll’s attic room, which means she’ll be able to get plenty of use out of it over the next few years.
