About this deal

Just a few chapters’ became a ‘whoops I’ve read half’ to ‘oh well, I can’t leave it there’ and then before I knew it, it was finished! Another delightfully charming and sweetly funny book in the cream tea series that is just begging to be read while eating fish and chips by the sea. A tea room serving scrumptious cream teas by day and a wine house and gin palace by night, Dolly’s has you covered whatever your dining out need might be. Perhaps throwing herself into the task will help to heal her sadness at the tragic end to her dreams in London.

The Cornish Cream Tea Holiday: The most uplifting escapist

One of Cornwall’s best-kept secrets waiting to ply you with fresh-out-the-oven scones topped with a hearty dollop of jam and heaps of Cornish clotted cream. With her talent for misadventure, Cat’s new life starts to show some cracks, and when one of the street’s loveable schnauzers gets ill, it looks like this Christmas could be turning into a dog’s dinner. Or if you’re feeling extra fancy why not book in for an afternoon tea, which you can enjoy in the garden, the drawing room or on the bridge, which looks out over the gardens. The cream teas are out of this world with oodles of clotted cream and jam, topped only by the staggering views that surround you. This month, the seasonal ingredient we will be focusing on is pumpkin, alongside a tasty Cornish tipple!

Set in Port Karadow so close by to the more familiar Porthgolow, it is a book filled with cameos of familiar characters from the Cream Tea Bus books, and being able to catch up with Finn and Meredith from the fifth book was a joy too.But she finds herself distracted by the arrival of a brooding – and annoyingly handsome new neighbour… bad-boy novelist, Jack Westcoat. I would have loved to have seen more of the renovation process in the book to go on Thea’s journey from start to end but that is just me being greedy and wanting to live a little of my dream through her! All Meredith Verren has ever wanted is to escape the holiday season without having to wear a Christmas jumper. Here we round up our favourite places – from Falmouth cafes to luxury hotels – to enjoy a cream tea in Falmouth. Fresh out the oven scones paired with local jam and Cornish clotted cream – you just can’t beat a cream tea at Miss V’s.

holiday From Cornwall with Love: escapist and romantic holiday

But their idyllic winter excursion is thrown into turmoil when the canal freezes over and an unexpected visitor appears on the scene. Thea was looking forward to a Cornish escape with her best friend, but when Esme drops out Thea finds herself flying solo! Watching Thea building her confidence and pushing forward to try and make her dream a reality and a new life for herself was both exciting and inspiring, I was cheering her on all the way. We do also get to meet some characters which we have met in previous books, and that was a lovely addition. She was stubborn and wasn’t going to admit to Esme that she would rather curl up with a book for the day. As their perfect mini-breaks around the globe take on a life of their own, Hester wonders if her world of make-believe is all starting to feel just a little too real . It's a perfect summer read, and I read the last half of it in one sitting in a few hours in my garden on a nice early evening, and it calmed me down from being furious about stuff earlier in the day. Immerse yourself in the magic of the holiday season with our captivating Christmas-themed collection.
