Kids love it, everybody in my 3rd grade class is buying it from the school library. I think it is not that good and is overrated. Try Trapped in a Video Game by Dustin Brady. Much better. Flat Petey is upset about what happened, but dismisses it due to the fact that he still has the treasure tank. He then tells Dr. Boog E. Feeva that it was time for them to spend some of the "moolah". However, before they could do so, the mysterious stranger appears and shouts to Flat Petey, "Not so fast!".
During the morning at the cop station, Dog Man's trying to get Milly attention by acting "obnoxious." She yells at Dog Man but notices that Dog Man was trying to tell her that it's Chief's birthday. She proceeds to call the cops for a meeting. At the meeting, Gloria decides to bake a cake, a cop we'll call "Baxter" decides to make a card, and Buster and another cop decide to handle the decorations. MiIIy asks for suggestions for presents. She says that Chief is forgetful, so Baxter decides to get him "Supa Brain Dots." The cops think of more gifts, but one says Chief is lonely, so he decides to get a pet for him, which Baxter decides a fish. Baxter says that fish are awesome pets, and Buster says that they aren't "filthy and obnoxious like dogs," thus, hurting Dog Man's feelings. Milly puts Dog Man in charge of getting a fish, but not a dead one. Dog Man gets excited, so he flips, proceeding to a Flip-O-Rama. Dog Man runs to the pet store. On his way, Chief arrives, but in Dog Man's excitement, he trips Chief over.Character gets bonked on the head. One character robs a store, and another uses a "love ray" gun to get people to give him their valuables. An inmate fakes his death to escape. Soon, Dog Man and the others reach the top of the mountain. Flippy is already there in his freezing fish tank, as well as the Treasure tank 2000 with Boog E. Feeva and Flat Petey. Flat Petey had been waiting for them and says to the others that they missed all the fun. Flat Petey then taunts Flippy for being "so excited, he forgot all about how water freezes up here!" and laughs as the evil fish is freezing from the cold. However, cat criminal Flat Petey is up to no good, and Dog Man wants to impress the Police Chief by catching him. But it’s easier said than done when Petey builds the Treasure Tank 2000 and rides around town hypnotising people into giving him all their money with his love ray. Despite his doggy ways, Dog Man is actually terrific at catching the terrible criminals that plague his town, so when Petey tries to engineer a coup to replace the Chief of Police, Dog Man saves the day. How does the artwork in a good graphic novel help the story? Would stories like this work without the pictures?
George and Harold have created a new hero who digs into deception, claws after crooks, and rolls over robbers. Flippy's soul yells at Dog Man to let him go, but Dog Man doesn't listen and continues swinging it in his mouth.
