I love the responsibility of that, and while I am not Jewish, I have tried to do my part in that responsibility with my own children. She is a founder member of the Holocaust Survivors Centre and was awarded the British Empire Medal for services to Holocaust education.

I discovered Lily and her great-grandson Dov on TikTok a few months ago and spend many many hours watching Lily talk and answer questions regarding the Holocaust. For our generation, we can hope for a utopian future - a world in which we learn from atrocities, where hatred and racism no longer exist.
