About this deal

The Moto Watch 100 is a cheap Motorola-branded watch by CE Brands that's had some of its specifications leak earlier. As far as hardware goes, it will be quite standard, should the rumors pan out. It'll be a light watch at 29 grams, with a 355mAh battery and support for Bluetooth 5.0. All the old familiar sensors, from accelerometers to gyroscopes, are there, and it'll be a fitness-focused watch. What is interesting about this watch is the alleged choice of operating system. Rather than adopting Google's Wear OS as expected, the Motorola Watch 100 will, according to Blass, run an all-new Moto Watch OS. Of course, the Armani Exchange’s classic watch design helps here. Instead of taking the Apple approach of launching a smartwatch which looks like a cross between a timepiece and a gadget, the Connected looks exactly like a normal watch - albeit one with a touchscreen. Thankfully, the heart rate sensor on the underside of the watch was more reliable in testing. The above example is fairly indicative of what we found in three test runs against the Fitbit Versa 2. Set a personal goal – Count the number of times you exercise, drink water or build a custom goal of your choice. We're sure these kinds of gripes won't bother every user, because you can get by with Wear OS – and there are still nice integrations with Google Pay, notifications and customizable watch faces.

Smartwatches need to look good, and as luxury brands enter the market, we find they end up producing some of the best-looking wearables. One of the latest is the Emporio Armani Connected, Armani’s first Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch. It’s unquestionably attractive, with a name that oozes class, style, and sophistication. In our Emporio Armani Connected review, we see if the watch is all style and no substance, and if it is, whether it really matters. Understated and stylish At first glance, Emporio Armani Atrt5020 may seem like an ordinary analog watch. However, it has an analog display; it is a smartwatch with some of the most amazing features. Emporio Armani Matteo Multicored Dial Smart WatchThis isn’t a cheap watch, and it doesn’t feel like one. It’s understated, stylish, very well made, and light enough to wear every day. Its presentation is superb, right down to the cool travel case it comes in. Judged purely by design, it’s worth the investment; but what happens when we look closer? Android Wear 2.0 You can also add your favorite applications from the Google Play store to your smartwatch. Smartwatches are powered with Android Wear by Google and are compatible with iOS 9+, Android OS 4.4+ phones. Initially, we suspected this could be a user error, but our location permissions were all switched on and, like last year, we're left to believe that, at best, our sample is faulty, or, at worst, the feature is just simply unreliable/unusable across the entire range.

Just like anything with the name Armani attached to it, wearing the Emporio Armani Connected smartwatch is about the way it makes you feel, and not what it actually does. Having a “bare essentials” feature list means the tech-smarts don’t overshadow the sophisticated style. This smartwatch is based on the Wear OS by Google and is compatible with iPhone and Android phones. Please note that the touchscreen smartwatch is powered by the Wear OS requires a phone running Android OS 4.4+ or if it’s an iPhone it should be iOS 9.3+. 4# Emporio Armani Matteo ART5020 Multicored Dial Smart Watch Dial There are two aspects of the Emporio Armani Connected that affect its lifetime: The battery and the software. The battery will inevitably lose its ability to hold a charge, but that shouldn’t happen for at least two years, and by that time, Google and Armani may stop sending the watch software updates. However, the watch will continue to work beyond this time. No specific water resistance level is given, so we’d suggest not showering with it on.

The other place you find the logo is on the selection of faces you get with the smartwatch. They have all been created to make sure the logo stands out and there are myriad color options to choose from - this is a smartwatch that’s been made, digitally at least, to go with whichever outfit you happen to be wearing that day. We're not sure who would use it in this capacity, considering you have to have your phone nearby and connected to Bluetooth for it to work, but it's also there for those who enjoy exercise read-outs or Google Assistant responses. A neat upgrade, albeit admittedly minor. For years, battery life has been the same equation on Wear OS watches. And while you still won't be getting multiple days of life between charges, battery efficiency has improved on the Smartwatch 3 from last year's model. We were hoping for a better performance than with the Emporio Armani Connected 2018, which refused to work, but, exhaustingly, the same issue occurred here.

One of the smartest-looking smartwatches around, but its features are lacking

It comes in two color variants- navy blue and silver tones and is made from stainless steel. It also comes with a touchscreen and features a blue dial with a full display. It is complemented by a gold stainless-steel H-link bracelet. Google Fit, for example, is relatively okay to use, echoing the simplicity of the Google Home app, but, still, the emphasis on Move Minutes and Heart Points makes the whole experience feel like a sub-par imitation of Apple's rings. This isn’t a fitness watch, despite some of the features, and won’t be anyone’s first choice to wear at the gym, but leaving the heart rate sensor running is a good way to judge overall fitness, even if you’re going about your daily business.

You can easily shake up the look of the Armani Exchange Connected, as it supports industry-standard 22mm strap lugs, meaning it takes just a few moments (with the right tool) to swap out the strap for any you like. The company offers a two-year warranty, where it will replace your unit if there are any manufacturing defects. Our Take Battery life has never been great for any Wear OS watch but the introduction of the latest update and the Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset means that the Emporio Armani Smartwatch 3 has options. The changes are more incremental with the unimaginatively-named Smartwatch 3 (also known as the Connected 2019, Matteo or ART5024), and the designer watch has, questionably, retained its usual asking price of . It reminded me how easy to forget not all smartwatches have a good design. The AX’s subtlety is great — it looks like a watch, and it has a well-fitting metal band, plus it comes in a beautiful muted, metallic blue color. It doesn’t scream Armani, or even high fashion, at you. This restrained design is to be applauded, but here it comes dangerously close to being faceless. Just another smartwatch, and not one our heart tells us to buy. You only know it’s an AX watch from the tiny logo located on the crown, and on one of the strap links. As we mentioned this is a watch made from steel, so the strap (like the face) is big, solid and IP67 rated. That means you can have it on your wrist in the rain without fear that the water will degrade the strap in any way, but don't wear the watch into the shower as it's not fully waterproof. I was getting ready to come down quite hard on the Armani Exchange AX’s design. It’s good looking, but it’s really simple — going about its life without flourish or great visual excitement. This bothered me, but I wasn’t sure if it was because I wanted more, or if the AX was too boring. If the design is somewhat ordinary, then the technology inside will give you deja-vu. The aging Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor is inside with 4GB of internal storage space, while the 1.2-inch OLED screen has a 390 x 390 pixel resolution.
