Every other bottle after Joop was a fabric softener in terms of the sillage or intrusiveness of this pinky concoction. Version 2012: the fragrance is still very reminiscent of the Lancaster version, although the shelf life has already been reduced by quite a bit. Similarities to the Mugler fragrances especially the Urmugleristen A-Men and the la nuit de l homme l`intense are given, wanted or not, since this one comes from Coty and not Loréal. One thing up front, I would love to rate this fragrance if the difference between vintage (1st Lancaster version) and today's (mid-2020 batch) wasn't so severe....

Sillage: potent, but also not the beast like his pink father (once was and also still is with smears). I first got my first taste of Joop Homme at the tender age of 16. And I thought he was really good at first. He was cute, okay, but in a reasonable dose he could be really pleasant with his vanilla-woody tones. An equally young guy wore this fragrance, very discreetly dosed and of course only for going out in the evening. I liked it (the scent, the intimidated boy sometime no longer). Sweet, cuddly, cuddly. A good fragrance from the house of Joop, just like Nuit d'Eté and Berlin, which I had on my wish list at the time. The fragrance has allantoin and hamamelis which makes it ideal as an aftershave. It has a quintessential proportion of citrus, florals, and spices. The perfume has high longevity. It lasts for long keeping you fresh. It also shuts the body odour from the skin. The classical perfume ensures that one smells good throughout the day. It helps to keeps away the body odour. This perfume is highly efficient in enhancing your spirits. The fragrance helps in a true representation of your persona. It is great for reflecting sensuous moods. Full of fascinating originality Joop! Homme is a celebration of masculine sensuality. The burst of cool, fresh spiciness unfolds to reveal a nuanced warm floral body and a strong, sensual oriental character.

Nevertheless, I can now with direct comparison no longer give an assessment, because in my opinion it is no longer the same fragrance... The fragrance opens with fresh citrusy top notes of orange blossom and bergamot as an enticing initial scent. Moving through to a spicy heart of cinnamon, warming through each individual note, before drying down to a lingering amber base. Hints of patchouli and tonka bean round off the fragrance to a sensual finish, bringing it to a bold conclusion. For me one of the most crude (in the positive sense) fragrances of the late 80s and 90s. Here something was created, which did not exist in the form yet and does not really exist until today. You have to dare him - not for everyone - but unfortunately, I find him just skilful. As a signature fragrance not only suitable for the U-20 or Twens, but for people who want to or can revive this long-lasting Homme with beautiful memories.
