For novices, Tuff-Tape is easier to apply than paper tapes. Tuff-Tape cuts easily with a scissors or utility knife, is applied with all-purpose joint compound, and will not rust. Extremely strong, will not fuzz-up when sanding, and stronger than paper and mesh tape.

I followed the instructions to the letter, however after leaving for 5 minutes the tape had just curled up into ball. Used flexible repair adhesive to seal a 50mm long cut in the fabric of my camper van roof. Its sealed ok internally but not the tidiest job because repair done with fabric in vertical plane and the adhesive ran down. Bought some tuff tape to cover the cut externally, this was more suitable, with hindsight should have used this inside too.
