About this deal

Google will then ask you for a voice PIN code. Alexa will ask you for a voice PIN code, which you can create in the Alexa app. With the new app, there’s no need to create a new account or set up your product again, once you have logged in you will be good to go! That app could leave a bad taste in your guests' mouths, and there's a limited number of Bluetooth keys included, with further keys requiring an additional fee, which does sting a little. Yale's app is also, we understand, not available outside of the UK app stores. It's easy enough to install, though the included instructions aren't tremendously detailed, and the online video guide, while sharp enough, does leave a couple of aspects a little muddy. We didn't struggle, put it that way, though it did take an hour and a half to get everything perfect. As well as physical tags, the Conexis L1 app lets you send keys to people. These can either be permanent keys that always give access, or temporary keys that are restricted to a weekly schedule (day and time) with the option of setting a valid date range, too.

To be able to continue to enjoy all the intuitive smart features your Yale device offers to you you will need to move your account from the current Yale Access app you are using to the new Yale Home app. With the launch of this new app, it is important for you to now move your Yale account over to Yale Home from Yale Access, as services from the Yale Access app will cease to operate from the 1st of July 2023. Our intuitive new app will launch for users on May 17th 2023 and supports our ambition to provide our customers with one single app that they can use to control both our existing smart products and new products alike. As part of our ongoing mission to provide our customers with the highest possible standard of technology and service, our new Yale Home app will grant our customers a more connected Yale ecosystem of smart devices. To provide them with a single-user app experience from which they can control both existing Yale devices and all our exciting upcoming products alike. This new app will be our first step towards achieving that goal, while still providing you with the same intuitive functionalities and services you currently enjoy. Yale has, at least, improved the app. Now, if it detects that you’re using the same account on two phones, it will warn you and only one handset will work, and your keychain will no longer be wiped. If you have any further questions or are looking for any additional information regarding moving your account or our new app, please take a look at our FAQs for more details. There's plenty of expansion potential; hidden inside the top inside section is a notch for one of Yale's add-on networking modules, which give the option of connecting to either Yale's home alarm system, Z-wave devices such as Samsung SmartThings, or Yale's own Smart Home Hub. Like the Conexis L1, you can open the Keyless Connected with NFC cards or key fobs (one of each included), and there's also a pin pad for keyless entry. Access restrictions for both methods are configured on the pad itself; you can add up to 20 tags and 20 codes at once. There are time-limited codes, too, allowing you to set up access for a 24-hour period.

The Ultion Nuki Plus can be operated in multiple ways, including keycodes, voice commands, the Nuki app, key fob, fingerprint accessand a police-approved key with Apple Find My technology. The Ultion Nuki Plus is also compatible with Ring, Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit. About the Igloohome app: it's excellent. It's particularly well presented, making management of PIN codes for limited or permanent access a breeze, and you can use it to generate Bluetooth keys and send them on even when you're out of range of the unit itself. That's management gold, and easy enough for even first-timers to use. Igloohome's Airbnb integration is an extra bonus, enabling you to line up keys for all of your forthcoming bookings automatically. The Conexis L1 tells you its status via a series of ear-splitting beeps; necessary, we suppose, but they could be a little more pleasant. They come in extra-handy when the battery is running low – you can't miss the alert – particularly because there's no way to see the current battery level through Yale's mobile app.

Rather than a brand-new product, the Yale Conexis L2 is just a rebranded Conexis L1 that ships with a Yale smart module for remote control. Yale sells the Conexis L1 in three colours. There are stainless steel, brushed steel and bronze-effect handles on offer, so you can match any other door or window furniture. Yale Conexis L1 Installation – Fiddly to install

Yes, it works, with Bluetooth keys functioning fine once you've worked out that the L1's Bluetooth mode is activated by a hidden button on that front panel, but we're thankful that it's rarely required, at least for personal use. You could, in theory, put this on a holiday let, but would you? The most common mean of entry includes keypads, biometric or Bluetooth. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Admittedly, the trapped cable was my fault, but if the app and phone errors hadn’t of caused an issue in the first place, I wouldn’t have needed to remove the Conexis L1 twice. Really, Yale should make the reset procedure easier. Unlike the original Conexis L1, which was controlled via the Yale Conexis app, there’s no no limit on the number of users and guests you can invite.
