About this deal

I really liked B. K. Borison writing style and loved the small town setting, which gave me some nice Gilmore Girl vibes. This book is sweetly cozy and charming in a way that you won’t ever want to stop reading it.” – Book Riot

I’ll be hooome for Christmasss, youu can counttt on meee 🎶 as I tell you to not walk but run and get this book in your hands. Consider me fallen hopelessly in love with this book, with Stella and Luka, and the world that is the Lovelight series. Each book contains explicit sex scenes, so these books are pretty spicy! The steam is definitely not the focus of the book, but there are a few scenes in each novel so it’s found throughout the whole series. Each of these novels has a similar spice level. The farm is experiencing some financial problems, and Stella decides to participate in an influencer’s contest, whose prize would significantly help the farm’s finances. However, Stella lied on her application and said she co-owned the farm with her boyfriend, forcing her to start a not so fake relationship with Luka.I highly recommend this whole series for literally everyone. It has charm, spice, quirky characters, nosy neighbors, laugh out loud moments, and a thread of tenderness and deep love connecting it all. But let's be real, the chemistry between them was just off the charts. I was literally yelling at my book the whole time, like "JUST KISS ALREADY."It was that good.

Did I read this holiday romance in the middle of April? Yes and, though I was given this awhile ago as an ARC, you can definitely still read this any time of the year. I believe this was self pub at first and it got acquired by a traditional publisher. I’m not surprised at all, the story and the writing are done so well. This was an immediate 5 star read for me, and I don’t know what to say for the other books yet but I do know how the writing can transport you into the story and lives of these characters. This book was exactly what I needed to read. It was super cute romance, with the friends to lovers trope. What's particularly refreshing about this romance story is that it's not just a superficial addition to the novel. The romance is woven into the fabric of the story, providing depth and complexity to both Stella and Luka’s characters. Their relationship is also a testament to the power of love and how it can help people through difficult times. Aside from one very specific book that made me believe in love, I’ve never been one for friends to lovers as it’s always seemed a bit monotonous for me - but this book might have changed how I feel about that. Ah damn, I really didn’t want to be getting excited about Christmas so early in the year but this book threw Christmas and romance at me and that’s it. I’m done now, summer is officially over and I’m ready to go out and buy myself a tree.

Above are just some of the tropes you’ll find within this story, ones that will set your heart racing and aching for more when the book finishes, just like it did mine, I had this at five stars initially, but then I read the second book, and it made me downgrade this one, too, because it took all the shine off it. My mother specifically said that she doesn’t care if you’re unconscious at the table, just that you wake up in time for pie.”

A small-town baker learns to raise her expectations for love with some help from a handsome local teacher in this sunny romantic comedy. It's official, I love B.K. Borison. I have heard so much about the Lovelight Farms series and actually started by accidentally reading Mixed Signals (the third in this series) and thought it was a stand alone, so when I saw this was a series, I flipped! Enter best friend Luka Peters. He just came home for some hot chocolate, and somehow got a farm and a serious girlfriend in the process.

Lovelight Farms Series Order (Summary)

B.K. Borison lives in Baltimore with her sweet husband, vivacious toddler, and giant dog. She started writing in the margins of books when she was in middle school and hasn’t stopped. Stella and Luka’s story had me hooked from the start. The way they met was the most precious part of the story; how she desperately needed someone to be there for her and her quite literally jumped in and became just that. Thank you NetGalley and Pan Macmillan for this eARC in exchange for an honest review. When you sent this to me and stated that you think I would love this, you are definitely right!!! I love fake dating and I love that this book was fake dating between two best friends who had known each other their whole lives. Straight away you could feel the connection between Stella and Luka when reading. I loved seeing them try to deny their feelings for each other when everyone around them knew how they felt about each other. The romance between the protagonist, Stella , and her childhood friend , Luka , is a central part of the story. Their rekindled friendship blossoms into a sweet and heartfelt romance that adds another layer of warmth to the novel. Borison skillfully captures the chemistry between Stella and Luka, making their romance feel genuine and authentic.

This book was phenomenal. Everything down to even the tiniest of details was perfect. I was invested immediately. I can’t wait to hear what you think if you decide to read these books! Let us know in the comments! It is the first book in a series of interconnected standalones following the three Lovelight owners. Enter Luka – Stella’s best (and very platonic) friend. She’s been in love with him for years, but couldn’t survive losing his friendship so she’ll take a week of pretending instead. Luka has other ideas, though. He’s finally given a chance to explore his feelings for Stella and she has to decide if love is worth the risk! This is the easiest I’ve ever fallen in love with a romance, Borison’s words have a special kind of magic.” – Elena Armas, author of THE SPANISH LOVE DECEPTION I was invited by Pan MacMillan to read this and I cannot even begin to say THANK YOU enough. I’m beyond grateful. Lovelight Farms is just as wonderfully cheesy as it sounds. It’s a cosy Christmas romantic comedy featuring an adorable small-town (think Stars Hollow), witty dialogue, a Christmas tree farm, a hostile family of raccoons, delicious baked goods and endless amounts of hazelnut lattes. It’s warm, fuzzy and surprisingly streamy Christmas caper that I couldn’t help but fall in love with. Yes, it’s slightly predictable but I couldn’t care less, in fact, it was exactly what I needed this December.
