About this deal

A: I don’t listen to music while writing but there are certain albums and songs that I have listened to before and after writing, or while taking writing breaks. Specifically I remember listening to Paulo Nutini’s Iron Sky and Beyonce’s Lemonade a lot while writing Flawed and Perfect and I remember that more than anything else because they were YA novels and I was constantly asked about music for all of those interviews. If I reference a song in a novel then I must listen to it to invoke the atmosphere of the particular scene. She and her books have won numerous awards, including the Irish Book Award for Popular Fiction forThe Year I Met You. At twenty-one I was emotionally intelligent and not a child, but there was a lot about the publishing industry that I didn’t know or understand. I’m not sure that I would change anything because that journey was important but I think I got swept along in the work and left a little of my life behind. I have a strong work ethic and I think being the way I was, helped me to build the career that I have but I could and should have taken care of myself a little better. I also should have asked more questions and spoke up more. But I’d still tell myself the same thing now.

To date, Cecelia’s books have sold 25 million copies internationally, are published in over 40 countries, in 30 languages. Cecelia Ahern Opts For Unusual Name As She Welcomes Third Child". 7 October 2019 . Retrieved 1 October 2023. Cecelia Ahern (born 30 September 1981) is an Irish novelist, known for her works like PS, I Love You; Where Rainbows End; and If You Could See Me Now. Born in Dublin, Ahern is now published in nearly fifty countries, and has sold over 25 million copies of her novels worldwide. Two of her books have been adapted as major motion films. The short story collection Roar has been adapted as a series for Apple TV+.I struggled with the plot most of the way through. At first, I felt engaged with this small town, her life as a traffic warden and the strict routine of the day, but it lost its shine with repetitiveness. By half way, the pace was slow and I'd lost interest. I didn't feel much by the culmination. I feel like before I was always pushing everyone but now there was nowhere to go and we could just be. I was really excited to get to read this book early, it was already on my own 'wish list' and it didn't disappoint!

Her legacy from her mother is more complicated - until one question from a stranger inspires a change. What if it isn't about fitting in, but finding the people who make you who you are? Who would those people be?I'm always up for reading a book by Cecelia Ahern, she always brings the unexpected with her women's fiction and contemporary tales. This one however, didn't hit the spot for me although the format of audio was pretty great and kept me going. Allegra Bird moves away from her small town to the big smoke with a dream job and a huge secret mission that would change her life forever, if only she had the courage to follow it through. That is when her journey really begins. And in true Allegra Bird style, the road is pretty turbulent along the way. Sometimes the people who have the power to change your life are the ones who have been there all along… Whether what happens would have happened anyway we don’t know, but Allegra is confronted by the idea that she really doesn’t have ‘five people’ so decides to find inspirational people to connect with (and rub off on her obvs).

Q: A lot of your work has been adapted into films or TV series, such as PS I Love You and Where Rainbows End (Love Rosie). Has knowing that your stories could end up on the big screen changed your writing style? Ohne nennenswerten Inhalt und uninspiriert geschrieben ist "Sommersprossen" für mich das bisher schwächste Buch der Autorin.... Cecelia Ahern was born and grew up in Dublin. Her novels have been translated into thirty-five languages and have sold more than twenty-five million copies in over fifty countries. Two of her books have been adapted as films and she has created several TV series. In a quest to find the one thing she’s missing she begins a bold new life in Dublin. But she’s left a lot behind.Along with writing novels, Cecelia has created, produced and written original TV series including co-creating the US ABC Comedy Samantha Who? a b c d Cecelia Ahern's Official Biography, archived from the original on 4 December 2007 , retrieved 31 December 2007 While the book is predictable to a great extent (which women’s fiction isn’t?), I admired how it didn’t succumb to the romance trope. “Boy and girl means boy falls in love with girl and vice versa”. Not in this book, no. I found that very refreshing. This is a life affirming and inspiring story, a warm embrace, a hand to hold and the resounding chance to join the dots and journey to the stars.
