About this deal

Get It Graded: If you believe you have a valuable Charizard card, submit it to PSA. A high grade can significantly increase its value and desirability in the market. The design of Charizard appears to draw inspiration from dragons of European folklore, with its large wings, horned head, and fiery breath. The 1996 Japanese base set was always considered to have only one print run until recently. These newly discovered (no rarity) cards are the first print run of the Japanese base set, the first Pokemon cards ever printed. What makes this particular Charizard card even more valuable is its unique combination of features. Being part of the very first English set ever printed makes it exceptionally rare. Furthermore, it’s the inaugural English Charizard card, which adds to its historical importance. Unlike later editions, it boasts both the 1st edition stamp and the shadowless design, making it a true collector’s gem. PSA Population Reports PSA has graded 1,002 of the Charizard Prism cards with 87 grading gem mint 10. That is just .08% of the total cards graded, which proves how challenging these cards are to find in gem mint or near-perfect condition.

Charizard, with its fierce, fiery dragon-like design, has captured the hearts of both young fans and serious collectors. Its value? Well, it’s not just about the card’s aesthetics but its grading. Every Charizard card you’ll see featured on our top list has been vetted, authenticated, and graded by PSA – the leading third-party grading company in the trading card community. Why Grading MattersLeft to right: Reshiram & Charizard GX 20/14, Reshiram & Charizard GX 194/214, Reshiram & Charizard GX 217/214. This promo was included in the Charizard-EX Red & Blue Collection in 2016 as part of the Pokemon 20th Anniversary Celebrations, there was both a Jumbo and Standard sized version of the card included. The card is illustrated byKouki Saitou.

The third most expensive Charizard Pokémon card is the base set shadowless. This set was printed shortly after the 1st edition with slightly more print runs. The availability is still scarce compared to the unlimited set but not as rare as the 1st edition. Card Details In terms of both main artwork and moveset this is a full art recycle of 69/106, however this card has the gold Japanese style lettering and a gold accent on the card which shows it is the secret rare version of the original. (Thanks to Sam T for this info). Passion Over Profit: The world of Pokémon card investing is thrilling, but always remember the golden rule: Collect what genuinely resonates with you and only spend within your means. The joy of the hobby comes first! A while after the introduction of Tag Team GX Cards Reshiram & Charizard went their separate ways, after an undeniably successful campaign. Charizard forged a new partnership this time with Braixen. This new partnership lasted three cards (to date) in the Sun & Moon series' final set; Cosmic Eclipse.Shiny Crobat V / VMAX and Shiny Dragapult V / VMAX from S4a Shiny Star V,will be available as promo cards featured as two boxes in the Shining FatesPremium Collection—Shiny Crobat VMAX / Shiny Dragapult VMAX. Although Charizard has never been officially classified as a Dragon type (despite Alolan Exeggutor somehow making the grade) he still makes it into the Sun & Moon Dragon Majesty special set (special in the sense it couldn't be bought in booster boxes and was only available in collection boxes, pin boxes etc.). " Its wings can carry this Pokemon close to an altitude of 4,600 feet. It blows out fire at very high temperatures".Illustrated by Ryota Murayama. Pikachu V from the Japanese Pika Pika! Pikachu! Promo Card Campaign, will be in the Shining Fates Pikachu V Box. When expelling a blast of super hot fire, the red flame at the tip of its tail burns more intensely.
