The Award will be held until the end of the Junior School when a new application can be submitted for entry to Year 7. Perform two contrasting monologues, both from published plays of the candidates choice, one of which should be from a Shakespearean play. The pieces will need to demonstrate a difference in characters or theatre styles. Each monologue should last no longer than two minutes and should be performed off-book with a copy provided for the audition. This Award is for external candidates who are applying from a state secondary schools.The Award will be given to students whose application and entrance assessments indicate that they would benefit from the opportunities at Badminton. Badminton Junior School is offering scholarships for external candidates entering Year 3and Year 5in September 2024. Entrance Assessments for admission in September 2024 will be held at Badminton on Wednesday 10 January 2024 and Scholarship Assessments on Thursday 11January 2024.All girls take examinations in English and Mathematics along with an online Cognitive Ability Test. Each girl will also have an interview with a senior member of staff. In addition, references are obtained from the girls’ current school. Information on the Scholarship Assessment is included in the Application Form. Entrance Exams for Applicants Overseas Assessment papers and interviews for entry in September 2023 will be held at Badminton on Saturday 4 November 2023. Art, Drama and Sport practical assessments will take place on another day to be confirmed. Music Auditions will be agreed on an individual basis. Each review score is between 1-10.
