What happens during fetal heart monitoring?

Conventional wisdom holds that if the baby’s heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute, you’re having a boy; if it’s more than 140 beats per minute, you’re having a girl. It's too early in your pregnancy. Your due date may be off. (This can happen, especially if your menstrual cycle was irregular.) Your provider will schedule another visit in a week or two.
