What could 2023 have in store for Super Mario fans? Well, there’s the brand new animated movie to potentially act as source material (and, hopefully bring us our first LEGO Super Mario minifigures). And then there’s the summer wave to consider: will we see another new digital figure, and if so, who will it be? Our money’s on Wario, but for now, here’s all we know about Nintendo’s only LEGO theme in 2023… LEGO set Creation does not tolerate any forms of harassment or bullying at its events. The first wave of LEGO Avatar sets coming in 2023 is based entirely on the upcoming Avatar: The Way of Water, but continues the theme’s unique mix of colourful Pandora builds and harsh military models. As with the initial batch of sets, they’re also heavily display-focused, to better target their core demographic of older fans. LEGO set The LEGO Harry Potter theme is reportedly revisiting 2005’s 4762 Rescue from the Merpeople in 2023, with a brand new iteration of the second Triwizard Tournament task. That’s one of six sets currently rumoured for next year, alongside another addition to the latest modular Hogwarts and four new house banner models, which are said to take their cues from the Hogwarts Moments sets. The Phoenix Theatre opened in 1930 with the premiere of Noel Coward’s Private Lives, starring Coward himself, and illustrious talent has featured ever since. It’s seen a range of star-studded shows from hit musicals to memorable plays, bringing Broadway sensations straight to London. No end dates were provided, but prior seasons (excluding season 4) have taken roughly 5-6 months in production. The production listing also states the series will continue filming in Atlanta, Georgia, as per prior seasons. PW lists that the production will take place at EUE/Screen Gems Studios Atlanta Studio, which has been home to Stranger Things since season 1. The 33-acre Atlanta studio complex boasts 11 stages and was the first full-service production studio campus to open in Atlanta. The popular American science-fiction and drama-horror TV series has turned viewer’s heads upside-down with its old-fashioned retro vibes and thrilling plot. Another month, another dearth of new rumours for LEGO DC. The lesser-spotted half of the LEGO Group’s two superhero themes still appears to be on its last legs, with only one new set reportedly on the way in 2023, tying in to the long-delayed Flash solo movie. LEGO set The first confirmed and revealed LEGO Monkie Kid set for 2023 is 80045 Monkey King Ultra Mech, a spiritual successor to the retiring 80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech – and it’s just different enough to stand apart from its predecessor. At least one more MK set is also on the way next year, courtesy of a LEGO.com listing.
