About this deal

When Julian, Bill and Charlie ride down the hill on the sledge, the timing on the lip sync when they say "Weeee!" is not quite accurate. The scarecrow from Postman Pat Follows a Trail and Postman Pat and the Mystery Tour is used for the children's no snowman. The silver teapot from the “Noddy’s Toyland Adventures” episode “Noddy Has an Afternoon Off” can also be seen in Pat’s kitchen. One of Ted’s computer boxes from Postman Pat and the Robot can be seen amongst the jumbled up post in Pat’s van as Santa magically rearranges it. The episode selection uses an instrumental of What's in his Bag, while the bonus features section uses the lyrical version of the same song, with the end credits sequence playing.

It is so late after the party that Julian falls asleep in the van on the way home; he does not even wake when Pat puts him to bed and Sara leaves a piece of her Christmas cake by the fire place for Santa. When Julian does finally wake up, he is awoken by the ringing of bells and the tramping of hooves. He creeps quietly down stairs to investigate and is amazed to see Santa Claus placing presents under the Christmas tree. Pat and Sara join Julian, Pat is most surprised when he is told that the boots he borrowed are his Christmas present and Santa congratulates Sara on the piece of cake that she left for him. Santa tells Julian there is an extra present for him outside and he disappears right under their noses. The family rush outside and discover it is snowing. Julian is delighted to see that his biggest Christmas wish that year has come true after all. Pat is not seen in aerial shot of Greendale, even though we just saw him driving through the village.

It is Christmas Eve and Pat is going to dress up as Santa Claus at the party tonight. While Pat is keeping this a secret, Julian is hoping that Santa brings him a blanket of snow for Christmas. Pat has a lot of post to deliver before Christmas, but with the help of a white bearded traveler, work is soon done.

Two of Pat's birthday cards from Postman Pat's Birthday can be seen on the fridge in Pat's kitchen. Bill's radio control model aeroplane from Postman Pat's Rainy Day appears on the sofa in Julian's bedroom. The teapot seen in Pat’s kitchen is a stage prop from “Noddy’s Toyland Adventures” which is Cosgrove Hall’s other show that was made for the BBC. Although Peter Fogg and Major Forbes do not appear in this episode, their names can be seen on two of the letters amongst the jumbled up post in Pat's van. When Pat helps Sara to find the flour, Dorothy's pie from Postman Pat and the Magpie Hen and Pat's birthday cream from Postman Pat's Birthday can be seen in the fridge. When Pat takes one of Nisha's mince pies, he, Nisha and Nikhil have suddenly moved to the other platform.
