About this deal

In 1890, he bought a Sri Lankan tea garden and began blending his own tea, making the drink more affordable for ordinary people. While his shops made him a millionaire, his tea business made him a multimillionaire leading to a knighthood in 1898. In 1914, during the First World War, over 100 R. White’s employees served in the armed forces and the company supplied the government with over half its horses and vans. At the outbreak of the Second World War, a great part of the vehicle fleet was commandeered by the government and used by the army. Three major factories were wiped out in London alone. Today, Gatorade is available widely in major retailers and is the sports drink chosen by more professional athletes than any other brand, including football teams such as Arsenal, Barcelona and Liverpool FC, the NFL and the NBA to name a few.

The Lipton brand has been providing high quality tea to over 150 countries since 1880. The story of Lipton Ice Tea begins with Sir Thomas Lipton, born in Glasgow in 1848. Sir Thomas was a passionate explorer who travelled to exotic places around the globe. He was not one to follow normal conventions, and in 1862 he sailed to New York in search of new opportunities. He spent five years travelling all over the country working in a number of jobs, which helped him develop a head for business. In 1970, the company introduced sugar-free 7UP, which was an immediate success among the growing number of calorie-conscious consumers. Britvic has been making and selling Pepsi in Great Britain since 1987 and in Ireland since 2007. Originally known as Brad's Drink, Pepsi was first created in 1893 by a pharmacist in the US called Caleb D Bradham who began experimenting with combinations of spices, juice and syrups on a typical hot and humid day in North Carolina. The following year the Gators won the Orange Bowl championship for the first time in school history. Stokely-Van Camp, Inc. then began commercial production and sale of Gatorade. Determined to make his mark at a time when trade in London was booming, Mr Robinson set up his own grocery business in the late 1700s. Initially highly successful, he devoted a sizeable portion of his time and profits to charity and became a key philanthropic figure of the early 19th century, including helping patients who could not afford hospital treatment, as well as charitable initiatives alongside King George III.Fast forward to the present day and the brand is still quenching the thirst of the millions of British families every day, with a focus on new innovations to bring more people more opportunities to enjoy refreshing fruit squash wherever they are. Robinsons is well known for its innovation and is recognised as a leader in sugar reduction, having removed all added sugar products from the Robinsons range in 2015, inspiring the nation to embrace the goodness in the everyday. We hold a prestigious Royal Warrant appointed by HM The Queen, which is a mark of recognition to those who have supplied goods or services to the Royal Households. In early 2018, Juiced joined the line-up. Sweetened only with real fruit, Juiced contains the perfect 50/50 blend of water and juice with natural flavourings, using 100% naturally sourced ingredients. Juiced is free from preservatives, added sugar and sweeteners and contains no artificial colours or flavours. He later returned to Scotland to take over his parents' grocery business. Thanks to his enterprising spirit and his relationship with the media, he grew the business and completely turned it around, eventually opening over 200 stores. A fervent supporter of fair trade, Sir Thomas continued his travels around the world sourcing ingredients. Mr Bradham wanted to offer a refreshing beverage to customers coming into his shop. Five years later Brad's Drink was trademarked and renamed Pepsi-Cola in 1898, and then Pepsi in 1961. Fast forward to today and Pepsi is one of the world's most iconic and recognised consumer brands.

The Fruit Shoot story started in 2000, building on the long-standing success, heritage and trusted quality of the Robinsons Squash brand in Great Britain. Launched in a re-sealable bottle with real fruit in every drop, Robinsons Fruit Shoot was an instant hit with parents and kids, and has been providing tasty refreshment ever since, helping active kids all over the world keep the fun going for longer in line with the brand's purpose of inspiring kids' adventurous side. It first launched in 1929 as a caramel-coloured lemon-lime soda, which he positioned as a drink with a 'flavour wallop'. Despite launching at the start of the Great Depression and competing against 600 other lemon-lime soft drinks already in the marketplace, the new brand sold well and by the late 1940s had become the third best-selling soft drink in the world. In 2016 Fruit Shoot was given a refreshing new recipe when we added multivitamins. Just another example of doing good and tasting great. Pepsi MAX, is our great tasting no sugar cola, originally launched in 1993. In 2006, we added Fruit Shoot Hydro to the range, a naturally flavoured water drink for children with zero sugar and no artificial colours.Equally distinctive is its shaped brown glass bottle, wrapped in a stylish (and ingredient protecting) silver metallic coating. All of which means it’s approved to drink in schools in England, Scotland and Wales.
