About this deal

Sword: When a Creeper card is revealed, a player can use their sword to avoid losing a Resource Card. The craft cards are the tools you can build in the Minecraft card game. Each tool is worth a set number of points, and they have one-time-use special abilities that can help give you an advantage during gameplay. Special Cards If you mine a TNT card, you must play it IMMEDIATELY. Take it and the top card of the 4 other Resource Card piles. Minecraft is a game of resource management, and there are many different materials in play. Wood, stone, iron, gold, and diamond are all included, and some are rarer than others. Players need to gather resources to build tools and earn points. Craft Cards/ Tools Note: There Will Be One Craft Card Left Over. Set It Aside As It Will Not Be Used In The Game. This Will Become Your Discard Pile.

The Minecraft card game is much easier to play than you might think. However, at first glance, it can look not very clear. This is because there are many cards included, similar to classic board games like Clue or Monopoly, so before we look at the rules, let’s outline the various cards. Resource Cards When you have mined the required resources, you may use an Action on your turn to trade them in and get the card out of reserve. Place it with your other crafted cards.

Mine

Just remember: This card can only be played if a player has no other matching color cards on your hand. This rule is often disregarded in the house rules, but according to the official rules, you cannot play it if you have a matching color (matching symbols are ok). Sword: This tool may be used when a Creeper card is exposed to prevent the player from discarding a resource card. If you choose to mine a Resource Card as an action, take 1 resource card from the top of one of the five Resource Card Piles and place it in front of you. For the TNT or Creeper cards, you take different steps (more on that later). To win the Minecraft card game, you need to be the first to reach the point goal. Points are earned by trading in your resources for craft cards/ tools. If you are playing with two players, the points goal is 24 points, with three players it is 20 points, and finally with four players, it is 16 points. Each craft card has a point value, which is used by the player for adding points. The tool associated with the craft card can also be used by the player during the game (see this section for more info).

The round is over when someone discards all their cards. Take note, if that last card played is a Draw Two or Draw Four, the next player must still draw those cards even though the game has ended. Each tool a player "crafts" has a special power. A player may use the powers at any time, and using one does not count as an action. When a tool's power is used, the player is to flip the craft card face down to show that the tool was used. Points on the card are counted even if the tool is used. The tool can only be used once. The tool powers are as follows: If a player desires a craft card but is unable to pay for it, they are allowed to place their card in "Reserve", which simply involves taking the craft card they want and placing it in their card holder. Then, when the player has mined the required resources, they are allowed to use an action on their turn to trade the resources in and get the card out of "Reserve", which is then placed with the player's other craft cards. When you are about to play your penultimate/second last card, you must yell “Uno” so that the others know that you are about to go out. If you don’t yell “Uno” and someone notices it and catches you before the next player plays anything, you have to draw 2 cards as a penalty. Points are scored as per the scoring system below, by adding up all the card values from the other players. You may keep any 2 of those cards. Then, discard the rest (along with the TNT card) into the discard pile. Also, the Craft Cards have a Game Point Value and Crafted Tool associated with them. The points are what you add up to win the game, and you may use the Tool during game play (more on that later).

On their turn, a player may perform 2 Actions. Once you have completed your 2 Actions, it is the next player's turn. Wild cards have a number allocated to them as well. So, for example, a wild two-card can be used as two of any resource. However, the resources can’t be split, so they cannot be used as one stone and one diamond. Creeper: If a player exposes a Creeper card when taking a card from the resource pile, all players must discard a resource card of their choice into the discard pile. The Creeper card is then placed into the discard pile. On each player’s turn they will get to perform two actions. Actions that the player can take include:The Minecraft card games take the sandbox video game’s fun adventure gameplay and transform it into a creative card game. Every player will have to carefully mine, craft, and reserve materials to win the game. Each tool you have crafted has a special power. You may use these powers at any time during the game and using a tool does NOT count as an action. If you desire a certain Craft Card but are unable to pay for it, you may put the card in Reserve. Take the Craft Card you want and place in a Card Holder. The card is now in reserve. A Wild card may be used as any 1 type of resource. You may NOT split the value of the Wild card. For example, a Wild 3 card may be used as a 3 Diamond card or a 3 Wood card, but NOT a 2 Diamond card and a 1 Wood card in combination. Shuffle all resource cards, and then deal them face down into five piles of fifteen cards each. Then, turn each pile over so that all cards in each pile are face up.
