About this deal

ne pas rater donc (alerte aux fans de Cthulhu, si il y a des tentacules, tu ne réfléchis pas, tu achètes et tu lis :)). encourage the pirates so that once they board their rowing boat, 'MIDAS TOUCH' to go and pick up the treasure, they are excited enough to be shouting at the top of their voices 'RICH! A pirate singer tempts a group of pirates to seek treasure and warns them of the monster that protects it. The Pirates Next Door won the Waterstones Prize in 2012 and was shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. On the voyage the fiddler continues with his ditty and it comes out that there is talk of a monster who eats pirates being in the vicinity of the treasure.

The pirates hear about the treasure in a tavern, but judging by the straws in the mugs they’re most likely drinking root beer rather than spirits. The wordplay and repetition went right over our daughter's head, but it really appealed to all of the grown ups who were present at story time. The artwork is amazing, but the story is like a Twilight Zone episode where the pirates are punished for their greed by getting eaten by a sea monster. This is the perfect book to read with your family, as the illustrations appeal to the younger ones and the story is great for adults and older kids alike. But kids will know these foolish pirates are headed for trouble, and giggle as the crew’s worst fears come true.Since then he has written even stranger tales including The Pirates of Scurvy Sands, The Pirates Next Door, Gigantosaurus and The King of Space.
