About this deal

I loved this author’s tone and writing style and structuring. Basically everything. Nicola Williams created an environment and a community that I felt like I was absorbed into; I felt their anger and their pain. None of this book felt dramatised or exaggerated and I think that was probably as a result of Nicola Williams’ career as a lawyer and I would imagine some of her own lived experience.

Was Sergeant Lambert guilty of shooting Paul Matthew? Did they manage to get Lee Mitchell to handle the case? When the police found the gun, there was a print on there that matched Sergeant Lambert's so he got arrested for attempted murder. He said he wanted his brief to be Lee Mitchell at all costs and he got Duncan Connolly as his solicitor. The hard part was persuading Lee Mitchell to take the case…… Nicola Williams is a writer that will be going onwards and upwards with this great legal thriller that is sure to be a big hit.Kelly Clarkson, 41, looks thin in a belted leather jumpsuit that highlights her newly slender figure after losing a dramatic amount of weight Omid Scobie's new truth bombs: Harry and Meghan's pal says William 'embodies' the Firm and hints Duke's rift with King Charles could be 'on the mend' Talk about the world's best job! The subject matter is very delicately treated also and highlights many of todays issues. It feels as if you are reading a true life story with these characters. The court room scenes feel very realistic, and the writer must have completed their research well because the terms used and the events that occur feel very real. It is only as the court room scenes and chapters unfold, does the reader find out more about the story and how involved it really is. There are secrets that appear to remain hidden, but as a reader of books, you’ll expect to find out the content of the secrets at some stage.
