I also loooove when he MMC gets crazy jealous Creighton’s (20) a silent grump, one who doesn’t socialize as much or have social media. He barely even talks. He was adopted by King Aiden 🥰 and Elsa when he was 3, yet he still has emotional scars from those traumatic years he was with his birth parents. He’s obsessed with eating and sleeping, until he starts to look at Annika in a different way 👀. I like seeing authors get better and better with each new book, but unfortunately this is not the case with Miss Rina. Maybe she should try NOT releasing a new book every other month?? We get grumpy/sunshine, a trope I love, but with a dark twist and I was here for it. Creighton King is just that... a king! I loved how possessive and protective of Anni he was but also how sweet and soft he got around her, especially how much comfort she brought to him. It was so cute to read about.You don’t complete me, you’re a part of me. If you go, that’s not different than erasing me along with you.” We do get Jeremy and Cecily crumbs <<<< This has to be the next couple. The epilogue has Cecily try to tell Anni something in secret but gets interrupted by Creigh. She was spooked. I should mention that when she helped Creighton get Annika, she had to face the wrath of Jeremy, and something had to have happened – also it is again stated that she sneaks out in the middle of the night. Where is she going?? I can definitely say that this series will be my new obsession. I love grumpy and sunshine trope, so I was really excited about Annika and Creighton's story. What a nightmare. When I saw the arc team saying that this book has so much pain I was waiting for something sad and heartbreaking, not pathetic and boring. For the most part, I'm annoyed that I don't get to see any growth from Rina Kent as a writer. Her stories and her writing are so trite and there are so many of them already that each time I find it more and more difficult to draw comfort from her mainstream, mediocre content. I think I finally reached the point where familiarity breeds contempt.

This was by far the most insane, over the top, intense book I’ve ever read by RK. Creighton was everything I expected him to be without throwing the “I’m morally grey” card in our faces. He worshiped the ground aanika walked on and we love the “ I hate everyone but you” trope.

RK has never been very articulate in her prose, but lately all these clichéd analogies, metaphors and phrases are so overabundant that they force me to skim half of the book. Like all the books by Rina , especially for this series , this book also has a ton of cameos and we also get more hints about the upcoming couples. I think I know who the next couple is? I am not sure lol. Rina has opened quite a few paths for me and although I love them both , I want answers so bad!! We get to see so much more of our beloved Royal Elite parents and Also the Mafia parents! The steamy scenes are crazy and don't even get me started on the heat in this book 🔥🔥 like omg. Creighton seemed like a quiet one to me but you all know what they say about the quiet ones 😏
