About this deal

Sensitive Shampoo (Volume) - Perfect for Sensitive Scalps, Allergy-Friendly, No Perfumes, No Colourants - Asthma & Allergy Friendly Product. Their Shampoo does contain SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) which many mistake for the harsh one, SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate). The difference being that SLS has beenidentified as a common skin irritant if left on skin for prolonged periods of time.SLES however whilst are derived from SLS go through a process which reorganises the compound making it much kinder to the skin and hair. Unlike SLS, Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) won’t aggravate your scalp or strip it of any excess moisture. Olsson explain it nicely here – SLS and SLES – What’s the difference Kindness to skin ★★★★★ By combining SLES with other kind-to-skin ingredients including Aloe Vera, Pro Vitamin B5 and Glycerine - we’ve developed a unique ‘pure performance’ collection, making clean, shiny hair something everyone can achieve despite suffering from skin sensitivities. Hair care is something that I take very seriously and I love Olsson’s ethos of helping all hair and skin types and being certified by associations who look after people with allergies. My Verdict of Olsson Allergy friendly haircare brand Olsson Haircare is a vegan friendly, cruelty free hair care range which prides it’s self on it’s commitment to allergy sufferers, allowing them to achieve salon performance results without the added irritation.

Shampoo Volume is a mild and gentle shampoo, designed to deeply cleanse hair while adding volume to boost fine, lifeless hair. A high-performance formulation yet mild and gentle enough to minimise the risk of an allergic reaction. The Olsson Haircare range achieves the perfect balance between managing sensitivity and salon performance. Apply shampoo to wet hair, massage into scalp and work through to the ends. Repeat as necessary to deep cleanse the hair. Rinse well. Style as normal. I found applying a small 2p sized amount on the ends of my hair left my hair really shiny and manageable and really works nicely after using the shampoo.

Premium ingredients & salon approved: A high-performance formulation with Ceramide A2 for a restructuring and smoothing effect and Vitamin B5 to strengthen and re-build damaged hair. Glycerine, for optimum moisture and shine. Aloe Vera for soothing sensitivities. No compromise, the Olsson haircare range achieves the perfect balance between managing sensitivity and salon performance. Loved by professional stylists, approved by allergy specialists. The Sensitive Conditioner (Normal/Dry) is a lovely mild formula which again contains Aloe Vera, for it’s enhanced soothing and moisturising properties as well as Vitamin E for powerful antioxidant treatment and is designed to work on all hair types. If you have sensitive skin, allergies, asthma, or suffer with a skin condition, I can’t recommend this hair care range enough! Sensitive Shampoo :Aqua,Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Zinc Coceth Sulfate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid.

Perfumes, sulphates, parabens, colours and phthalates are almost always present in shampoos, conditioners and washes, which can all result in irritation and allergic reactions so up until now I’ve sacrificed the state and condition of my hair in a bid to avoid my skin and scalp reacting. I’m the girl that takes her own shampoo to the hairdressers to minimise reactions. I’m the girl that always washes her hair over the bath instead of in the shower to minimise reactions. I’m the girl that hasn’t used proper hairspray since her teens, to minimise reactions. Sadly so many beauty products that we use daily contain nasty chemicals that can irritate skin and effect those of us with allergies and skin conditions. This product is relatively new to me and over the past month it’s what I’ve been using. I like the consistency of the shampoo and that you don’t need too much to wash your hair (and I have a lot currently with my extensions). Used in conjunction with their conditioner, my hair is left lightweight, clean, and hydrated without stripping my skin/scalp of moisture. What I love is that it visibly reduces the appearance of split ends with the clever Biolipids and Camellia oil (which is rich in fatty acids) which help to smooth the cell membranes on the hair.

Let’s Talk Hair

Sensitive Volume Shampoo: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate,Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Zinc Coceth Sulfate, PEG-8/SMDI Copolymer, Palmitoyl Myristyl Serinate, PEG-8, Sodium Polyacrylate, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Citric Acid. Fact: it is likely that any ingredient ending in -eth has also been through ethoxylation process too. I personally only suffer from sensitive skin occasionally but my husband is very sensitive and so is my eldest daughter so I’m always keen to find products that are suitable for the whole family. The Products There’s some benefits to the use of sodium laureth sulfate in our formulation too. Sodium laureth sulfate helps oil and water-based ingredients, which generally don’t mix, to become dispersed. It is perfect for use in haircare because it is a paste and it makes a beautiful light lather, which helps the hands work the product through the hair with ease. Do we need our shampoo to lather? You know some people just have good hair? I’m not one of them. I haven’t the patience to style it and get in a right kerfuffle if I attempt to use my straighteners to do anything other than their intended purpose. How does one get a cute wave with their GHDs? It baffles me.
