About this deal
Extremely disappointed by this company's recent service. I have been a long and loyal customer. As a vegan these bars are ideal for me to get a protein hit. For someone like me - diabetic so naturally low refined carb, higher protein and higher fat is the way to go SOYA Protein Isolate, Tapioca Starch, Inulin (Chicory Root Fibre), Coconut Oil, Cocoa Powder, Natural Flavourings, Salt, Sweetener: Sucralose( Soya ) What can I say, misfits have really set the boundaries high for a vegan protein bar that provides 15g of protein and still taste epic like a ‘standard’ chocolate bar. Totally recommend even if you aren’t vegan! 🤩 On one hand, I really like bananas, and the flavor is spot-on. On the other hand, I really wish this tasted more like a chocolate-covered banana and not just a banana.
Going through these Misfits protein bars, it was very interesting to see how similar each bar actually looks. If you didn’t know better, you’d think this was the cookie butter flavor I reviewed previously. Choc cinnamon does not smell or taste at all like chocolate. If you were to do a blind taste test, you’d never know that this was a chocolate flavor. When you open the box, it smells like you just stepped into a bakery where all they bake are chocolate donuts topped with chocolate frosting. However, the overall flavors just fall short for me, but some are certainly better than others. I wasn’t able to try every flavor, but of the flavors I tried, I’d recommend Dark Chocolate Brownie and Chocolate Hazelnut above the others. Flavor-wise, this protein bar has a very strong plant-based protein flavor, making it pretty Earthy tasting. You can taste the chocolate, but the speculoos flavor is incredibly minimal. In fact, it only comes through in the aftertaste, and only very slightly. The world’s tastiest plant-powered choc protein bar - chocolate coated, triple-layered, with a gooey middle.
The interior of this protein bar has an artificial caramel flavor to it, which becomes overpowering. For a protein bar called “chocolate caramel,” the chocolate is definitely secondary in the overall flavor. The fact that this is not touted as a keto-friendly cereal is also appealing to me because I tend to enjoy products more when they have carbs to them. Granted, there is very little sugar and it is overall low in carbs, but it’s a bit more appealing to me than a keto cereal. These bars are unbelievable for meeting the above criteria, I can’t believe how good they taste and a whole bar has 6.8g carbs of which 0.9g is sugar (hazelnut ones)
