The result is a fabulous gin made with 19 different botanicals including Moroccan Coriander, French Juniper, Mexican Orange Peel and Chinese Liquorice. Citadelle has won more than 60 medals, among them “Spirit of the Year" at the 2017 World Spirit Awards as well as “World's Best Gin" and “Gin Grand Master" in London. The French brand’s history reaches even farther back than that, though, with the recipe developed by a distillery in Dunkirk in 1771. Citadelle Gin is the brainchild of Alexandre Gabriel at the Pierre Ferrand distillery in Cognac, France, who created and released his Gin out of passion.

The 19 botanicals are infused for 72 hours, three days in which the Citadelle body is shaped and takes all its aromatic notes. Citadelle Gin is made with 19 botanicals, such as liquorice, orange peel and coriander, resulting in a sweet and savoury expression that’s brilliant with tonic. Their ultimate goal is to make Citadelle Gin in the same way vintners make fine wine, with terroir from juniper berries grown on their estate. Inspired by summer’s best moments… Citadelle Gin have created Jardin D'Eté to showcase delicious flavours of melon, yuzu, orange zest and whole lemon alongside their usual tasty juniper forward gin.
